Can anyone offer some insight on: Legend of Zelda (I played Zelda II and didn't like it all... does that mean i won't like this one) Punch out (leaning towards this) Mega man (2 or 3) StarTropics Bubble Bobble
I got Final Fantasy 1 with my refund... And for some reason my white mage is kicking more ass than my black mage and black belt combined.
Why is this suprising, considering who your White Mage is named after?
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I can do both things simultaneously whilst also partaking of my lunch and flirting with that cute girl in the corner. I thought you might like to take advantage of my talents in multi-tasking and awesomesauce-itude, but hey, it's your team, to do whatever you wish with. shrug

I don't mind you actually killing things... makes up for the other two layabouts who shall not be named here. Just getting more than I thought I was getting from you...

There is a reason I'm the most sought after White Mage in all of Corneria, hobbes. I can pull off three simlutaneous gigs and still have time to write my autobiography: "Feenie, the Many Genders of Me."

@Everybody considering StarTropics vs. something else: Get StarTropics. It's hard, but it's also awesome!
@Terranigma: Since it's already been confirmed to you elsewhere than imports don't work, I would recommend Lolo from that list. Yet I see on that other page that you were leaning towards Balloon Fight or Castlevania...well, whatever. Only reason I don't have Balloon Fight on VC is I imported Tingle's Balloon Fight DS. It's a good choice. Castlevania, not so much, IMO. Not that it matters since it's YOUR game, not mine. Just throwing it out there.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Metroid - I think you at least start out with full health when you die, enemies drop health frequently, and you always restart from the last checkpoint.
You don't start with full health - you start at 30! That's one of the reasons I hate that game! Enemys do drop health, but it's never enough. Have you even played it?
Castlevania III for me. I've wanted to get that one for ages, and I've been addicted to Castlevania lately. With it I can start a Festivania on Backloggery!
wow, Nintendo is giving a lot of love to Europe lately. collectable tins, connection ambassador, and if i remember correctly Europe got Mario Kart Wii before the americans
1st and foremost, i'm inputting this with my wiimote so i'm getting bored... quickly. i'm also looking at my usb keyboard just wondering. cynically, the reason for this hardup carrot is to catch out all the wii users in europe who own older wiis and have not yet decided the HBC and backups was the way to go on what is, at its best a second rate console, priced as a bit of first rate kit. if i can talk my console ignorant neighbours into finally plugging their wii in 24/7 and being updated into using poor graphiced (?) ngc ports at £30 a pop rather than bb v. 2 try it before you buy it iso's , then i'll be offered all the games i have on carts in a box in my loft that at last count cost me £700 ($1300) 20- 10 years ago. sod nintendo. i'm gutted that a company i supported through the nes, snes n64 and gc [all still boxed and pristeen] produce NOT ONE DECENT GAME for the wii. nint accept the europeanss won't fall for the hype of old games and internet accessibility, and firmware us into buying original games which to be honest aren't worth 600 star points let alone £30 quid. nint have sacrificed quality over profit, i'll stick to hbc and buy my games from ebay if i put in more than 3 days solid play. ELITE in 'elite' 32648661 credits i'm a serious gamer.

I have played it, just not in a long time. Lemme check again...ah, you're right, you do always start with 30 health. I must've been confusing it with Metroid II. Although I am glad I got to play Metroid 1 again - it really is a fun and challenging game. All it requires is the right amount of platience and practice to get better at it. Unfortunately, that's what makes it a tough sell, since not a lot of people these days are willing to put in the time and effort required to fully enjoy it. Oh, and the 30 health isn't really an issue, since enemies instantly respawn, and almost always leave some kind of drop. Just spend a few minutes farming for health until you got enough to continue on, and pick up more health from the enemies you kill along the way. Or you could just skip the first step and hope you make it to where you need to be without dying, and if you do die, just try again until you don't. It's not really that hard, it just requires some patience.
And speaking of fun and challenging games, I think I'll get StarTropics as my free game. It looks pretty fun, albeit unforgiving. I remember being pretty hyped for it, too, not sure why I haven't gotten it already. Oh well, I'll just correct that now with the rebate and I'll just get Ghosts 'n' Goblins later.
