Was going to download this but noticed that you can only use the Classic Controller or a Gamecube Controller. Now, I have a GC controller, but am wondering if the Classic Controller is better (I don't own one). What do people think? Used/tried both?

I always stick to the following for games from Nintendo systems:
NES: Wii Remote sideways SNES: Classic controller, grab the all-new classic controller plus if you can. I heard its great. N64: GameCube Controller. Perhaps the new classic controller is better though. Haven't picked one up yet.
It might prove a tad expensive but import one of those Club Nintendo Super Famicom Classic Controllers, it's a perfect replica of the original SNES pad, I've got one and it's excellent. Might as well play the games with the pad designed for 'em. Play-Asia and (obviously) Ebay are good place to look. I paid £20, so not much more than buying a regular Classic Controller.
i didn't find the original snes controllers that appealing. i bought some 3rd party controllers that felt similar to the Classic Controller such as the Competition Pro pad.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Super Mario Kart has the most shameless AI of all, really. I play as Koopa Troopa, and my rival is always Luigi. He seems to have a star activated for over half of the course, despite that being impossible. Every time I get near him. Sometimes I'll be right behind him, fire a shell, and he jumps the instant I fire. And even for those odd times when I do hit him, he'll catch up unrealistically quickly.
But I don't mind. I prefer time trial for single-player, anyway, and if I do feel like grand prix, I pick 100cc so that the AI doesn't get quite as annoying. If you're playing two-player and your 2P isn't as good (or vice versa), making versus mode a pointless exercise, it can be fun to instead to grand prix and have only one player race while the other devotes his time to driving backwards and attacking the other player's rival.
I might have to switch to Mario just so I can beat 150cc without breaking any controllers. Beaten it tons of times with Koopa Troopa, but not without learning to hate the game in the process.
