Topic: Show your support for Darkstalkers!

I know there are a lot of Darkstalkers fans here at nintendolife, so I thought I'd give everyone the heads up that over at the Capcom Unity Forums the Capcom staff has asked if people would be interested in seeing a return of our favorite Night Warriors.

Theres already been lots of people who have voiced they're desire for the franchise to make a Wii appearance, and with TVC showing up on the Wii I think a new Darkstalkers game would fit just fine (in 3d or HDish remix style).

So head over and voice your support, Capcom is paying attention to this one!

I love the Darkstalkers series. So I'm in.

I am a huge Darkstalkers fan I would support with a day one purchase. In fact Night Warriors was my favorite game for the Sega Saturn. I would love to see an HD makeover for the original Darkstalkers or NightWarriors as opposed to Vampire Savior. I thought the character selection and backgrounds were kinda lame for the third entry.

i have a feeling that if they made a remake it would be a xbla or psn online game like Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Street Fighter II HD Remix. The virtual console got screwed on those two if you ask me.... but i agree with the release of tatsunoko vs capcom it shows that capcom hasnt forgot about the wii fighting fans out there.

Well if they can't give us an HD remake how about just the arcade versions for the Virtual Console. That would be a fair tradeoff

Well, over at the Capcom forums a lot of talk is not of an HD remix, but more of porting the japanese Dreamcasts Vampire Chronicles for Matching Service (PSP's Chaos Tower). This gives the option to play any character in any style of gameplay from the different DS games. This would totally allow it to come to the Virtual Console, as the sprites are not super HD. A lot of people seem to like this idea, as they don't want to wait for them to re-draw all the sprites. Of course everyone would also like a DS4.

So make sure to post in the Unity forums so Capcom hears us Wii owners!

But I totally agree with you on the VC getting un-rightfully ignored with MVC2 and SSF2HD. Especially MVC2, as that for the most part isn't HD (aside from the backgrounds). But the SFHD could have been down-sampled to Guilty Gear XX levels and been fine. Of course I'm not a game programmer, so I suppose there might be more to it than that.

It certainly couldn't hurt. Capcom needs to know Wii owners want Darktalkers. Last I checked the demand for some sort of Darkstalkers had grown to around 500+ people. But Wii owners here could add a ton of support!
