There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
Blocks?! What, save blocks? I couldn't tell you as I traded it, not the best advert I'll admit, try the NintendoLife or IGN reviews, if you are not sure.
I thought the game was fun. The main story has at least two plot twists in it. There's additional story and conspiracy theories scattered throughout the game, but you have to actually look for them. They're found in radio broadcasts and hidden messages. One thing that I thought was awesome was that you can actually change the radio stations! There is at the most, I think, 6 different stations on some radios, and at the least there is three. Just keep flipping through them until you get back to the original program.
The controls are really good. You can customize them to the point that you feel comfortable with the game. It might feel a little overwhelming at first, because there are so many options to customize, but I guarantee that it's worth it. For example, I placed my health bar in the game at the top-center part of the screen, kinda like in the Metroid Prime games. There's plenty more options for you to customize, and the game will even let you play while adjusting some options so you can see how they work immediately.
And if this is one of your first First Person Shooters (FPS's), then I think that you would enjoy this game a lot. The online can be really fun, too, whenever you can get in. I haven't had that many problems with online, but I don't get online a lot. It's fun to me just to replay the story a few times so that I can get all of the achievements. So many kills with certain guns, and killing so many enemies.

your probably don't want something this detailed, but that's the only way i can write- i like the game and have had fun with it, but it totally deserves that 6.5 rating. the one player game is just flat out boring at times; when high voltage said they wanted it to have the best visuals on the wii, they must have strictly meant it in a technical sense, because art direction was obviously not a priority. get ready for gray hallways, subway tunnels, and a couple of levels that are so nondescript it's hard to tell what they're even supposed to be. it's not just that the rooms are bland, it's that they repeat that same bland room that was already uninteresting the first time twenty times over and over again. by the time you finish some levels you'll feel a sense of relief for not having to play it anymore. most levels have at least one cool moment that helps you regain your interest, and the later levels pickup a lot of steam, but overall there's not much worth seeing. couple that with the fact that there are only 9 levels, none of which should take you more than 25 minutes to beat, and you have a game that disappointing AND short. i've been playing the metroid trilogy for the past 3 weeks and every time i've put the conduit in, it has promptly come back out within 5 minutes. how two games so radically different in the quantity and quality of the gameplay can be available at the same price is mind boggling.
multiplayer is the saving grace of the game and the only thing that could possibly make it worth buying. you get more bland levels to play in, but it doesn't matter as much if the background is interesting when you're shooting at 12 people at once. the controls really do work perfectly, and it's satisfying to spend time tweaking them to perfection. once you've got the controls nailed the overall game play is very fun; it does remind me a little of perfect dark. the problem is that it's plagued with frequent glitches that destroy the fun; enemies will flicker in and out of existence, sometimes disappearing entirely. you'll falsely assume that because you can't see them anymore that they must be gone, meanwhile they're pumping you full of lead and you can't even see them. sometimes there will be even more inexplicable flickers, with enemies falling from the sky or zooming through walls. it can often be impossible to shoot a person right in front of your face because of these glitches.
there are monstrous lags that often enable an enemy you've just killed to continue shooting you before the game 'registers' him as dead; it can be really frustrating to fire the finishing shot at an enemy in a close match, then die from a shot your enemy fired after your own. once there was actually a lag where i had killed someone, walked away and forgot about it, and then got the point for it two minutes later.
then of course, there are the times when you set the game up, wait 5 minutes to join in, and find yourself stuck in a black screen and unable to move. wii menu won't work, nor will any of the pause buttons, so you have to turn the wii off and start again. there have been times where after starting up the second or even third time in a row i faced the same glitch and just gave up. i don't know how a game this buggy made it to store shelves. when the online is working well, it's extremely fun and makes the game worth owning; but i'd say that only happens 50% of the time.
if you want a good single player game, look elsewhere; the metroid trilogy dances circles around this when it comes to graphics, gameplay, length, everything, ect. if you want a good online game, this is worth considering, just know that it will frustrate you to no end half the time you try to play it.

Its good but not great. Edit : Online did not have much staying power for me. Its fun once in a while but I still prefer Call of Duty World At War for online.
Yes, definitely get it. The single player is merely average, but the amazing controls and customization push the online multiplayer ahead of any other console FPS, including on PS3 and X-Box 360. Halo's dual-analog controls are nothing compared to this. The glitches romulux mentioned are actually pretty rare (I've only been stuck in a wall once), and some of them may have been fixed with the 4.2 firmware update.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
