Finally got hold of this game as I missed this one in the 90s. Am playing single player and was wondering how to revive computer controlled companions? She has been 'unconcious' for ages now and I have no idea how to revive her.
Also how do you use medical herbs?????
An finally, the two werewolves in the haunted forest quite early on in the game are very annoying. Its taken me over 30 attempts to defeat them as once they 'get you' you become trapped and they just finish you off!
Unreasonable difficulty spike in my opinion (I am not a noob)
Firstly, early in the game , go to the Inn's to revive your characters. You can also buy a Cup Of Wishes to revive her, but I think they cost a bit early on in the game.
Medical herbs are for when you are poisoned. Use them from the ring menu.
That part with the werewolves, you're not supposed to do that bit. If I remember rightly, if you go there you would have lost your companion. You have to go back to town and get her, then go to where she tells you to go.
I haven't played the game for a little bit, but I think that can help you . Also, remember to get in the habit of defeating all the enemies you see. That way, you'll level up at a good pace.

Not exactly. You can either get Sprite first or the girl first but getting Sprite first is much harder since you have to fight the werewolves to get the girl. Whereas if you get the girl first, you just have to fight the boss in the dwarf's village.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
Actually, you can get sprite first. Don't go to Pandora Castle (where the girl is) until after you get the sprite, and you won't have to fight the wolves.
But if the girl has already joined you and left, it's too late to undo it in that saved game.
Ah, dont think I've tried getting the sprite first. Will try that soon. I seem to remember that the werewolves are a lot harder without the girl (not just because of having two people, but the werewolves were stronger), but I'm not sure if he has her or not. It's been a while since I've played it. Might pop it in tonight.
@Starlight - I think there is a girl at the lower right part of Pandora that you need to speak to. I remember being stuck on that for ages, as I don't think the game gives you any clues.

Oh, that's why I have memories of that Dwarf Village. I guess I didn't need to go to that insane asylum after all.
Actually, that quote is the other way around. If you get the girl first, you'll have to fight the werewolves. Whether or not you get the sprite first, you're going to have to fight the Dwarf Village boss. You need to go to the Dwarf Village to get the axe, and you need the axe to get through the path to the end of the magic forest or whatever to reach the witch's castle. If you have the girl and try to go through Gaia's Navel to get to the Dwarf Village, she whines and threatens to leave unless you go back to the forest and save her boyfriend pronto. I don't think you can make her understand you need the axe first to get through the forest, so you're going to have to let her leave.
I fought both the wolves and the monster in the dwarfs' cave. I don't think there is any way you can avoid the wolves, but if there is a way... I spent so much time trying to beat those stupid things!
Yeah, what I was trying to get at, is that you can fight the werewolves by yourself after the girl leaves, but that's harder. Also, you can go back and get her, then go to where she wants to go first, then go to Gaia's Navel afterwards after she changes her mind. Maybe I should play it again to make sure I know what I'm talking about haha.
Am close to giving up on these Wolves! they are so unfair, once you take one hit its game over as they just hammer you on the floor. I really want to play this game in full but surely after spending hours on this part i will lose interest?
It'll get easier after the werewolves, but only for a time. The really difficult stuff is yet to come, and there's a lot of it...including a relentless six-boss gauntlet toward the end (but still not at the end) where each boss is separated by a maze filled with extremely powerful creatures.
Great game, but one I never bother to finish in full. It's definitely too much after a certain point.
