I just got this game and was very surprised to see how graphically stunning it is. It makes me wonder why other games aren't as polished. This is the best looking game I've seen yet.

On a related note gameplay is OK. It has more than a few startling moments. I thought Claire and Steve were cheesy and after awhile irritating. RE4 was more fun, but not as pretty.

It's a rail shooter, it takes lots of shortcuts because what you see is what they decide to show you.

I loved the graphics on the dam stage - especially when you exit near the top for the first time and your eyes adjust to the sunlight and you can see for miles into the distance because of the height.

Is it worth buying? I wasn't a fan of the first...But I have Dead Space: Extraction to hold me over as far as On rails shooters goe, yet I still haven't played it yet Based on the footage for DSC the graphics do look fantastic, But I'm worried about the shaky cam and if it feels all too simular to UC

It's quite different from Umbrella Chronicles, mostly due to your companion being on-screen. Shaky cam isn't a big deal - certainly less so than Dead Space Extraction because you won't have anything to shoot - it's just used when moving from one area to another for a bit of "realism."

I'll second madgear on that view from the dam - awesome.

Excellent game!
I have a whole 2 player co-op series of it on youtube if anyone who hasn't got it wants to see it.

Yes this games amazing.
One down fall is it got my hopes up for a RE5 port because of the first level.

Still a very pretty Wii game

Are there any differences when you play it co-op compared to if you play it alone? You're supposed to get a different point of view depending on you play as, right? So, if I (player 1) play as Claire and my friend play as Steve, will we see things from Claire's perspective or from a generic '2 player only' perspective? I've seen videos where the computer controlled character wanders on to the screen to investigate stuff, if that happens to player 2 in co-op mode, will player 2 still be able to shoot?

I have a Backloggery now! Nothin' fancy, but feel free to add me as a friend.
