True Sean, but its been out 2 weeks and Ubisoft is probably going to freak about bad sales. Then again they can't say much considering Dead Space: Extraction has probably sold that many copies in half a year Even though I need to pick that up, I'm still too damn caught up in other games too get around to buying. Lord save my soul when I get Monster Hunter 3, which means I won't be seen for another month. I say that it will make the 500,00 Ubisoft wants, just not as quick as they want.

Yeah, going by the sales records of previous third party action games for the Wii, its on track, if only just.

Madworld, for instance, is finally nearing the half million mark in week 57 after being a 70,000 sales flop (coincidentally, about the same number that vgchartz.com gave for Red Steel 2) in its week. I suppose the big question is how many of those sales came at full price and how many were out of the bargain bin. Having picked it up for under £5 myself (although I did get it as a rental earlier) I'd suspect that there's quite a lot of the latter. Sales targets are generally set with full-price sales in mind, so Sega still probably lost money on it.

As such, even if Ubisoft get their half-million, that doesn't necessarily bode well for a Red Steel 3 at any point.

This is such a fantastic game, and now I feel so guilty.. I bought it used to save some money. I bought at full price so many other games that I just couldn't pay the full $50 for this too. They should have added multiplayer and sold it for $40 to improve sales.

So ends a saga older than time itself.
