I got it and

I thought it would be good, but I never thought it would be as good as it is! From the tutorial I knew I liked the game. I had a lot of fun killing all the enemies. I love the whole vibe of the game so far, the retro themes are just so nostalgic and great. I like how it makes fun of absolutely everything. So far I have beat rank 10 and played a few missions and messed around in town, wow you all were right. You all made my mind up and convinced me to get this game, THANKS!

Then you are in for a ride my friend. Enjoy, ****head!

Yes I finally got it, I'm still loving it, Trying to earn money for Shinobu's battle, but Dr. Peace was such a good boss battle, quite possibly my favorite boss battle I've ever had in a game. For others out there on the edge I just want to say pick this game up it is excellent and I really think that everyone should give it a shot at some point. For $20 you can't really complain too much. Also I agree the combat does get kind of repetitive but its so satisfying that it is made up for in the end. All the games low points can be looked over do to the high points. Everyone please play this game! Now I just need to get to the sequel.

Yeah the writing and characterisations are really top notch - I'd love to just be able to watch the boss intro films on their own as an extra! Definitely have to play this again before the sequel arrives; glad of the European delay!

I second watching the intros, thats what made Dr. Peace so great. Oh I beat Shinobu last night before I went to bed. I was a bit careless in her fight, I kept trying to attack her even when she did the charge attack (Wow I was tired) and so far Sweet Difficulty is pretty easy and fun. BTW hows Mild?

Mild or Sweet doesn't make a huge amount of difference, as the only time you're in much danger is in the boss fights. Well, I suppose you can fail some of the missions, but it won't kill you or anything. Also, if you can beat Shinobu, you've not got much to fear from any of the other bosses. Bad Girl is the only one who bothered me much and that was only because of her cheap instant kill; learn how to avoid that, and the number one spot is yours for the taking.

I thought Shinobu was the easiest boss? Also I beat Destroyman last night, so glad to see that Bastard die (I know he will come back) but he was just an annoying wimp.

Well, I guess it'll depend on how you like to fight, but Shinobu is the first boss in the game that you can't just sneak up on and batter into submission. Anyway, she's definitely not the easiest one; you'll find out why soon enough.

Glad you got it and like it! _

You should of started on Mild though, Sweet is WAY too easy.

Well I'm looking to enjoy the game and have fun with it and see the story before I start on a challenging difficulty, thats how I always do it, I work my way up I have to say even though I'm at the Rank 5 battle I still think that Dr. Peace will be the best battle I've ever seen. But Holly Summers was sad to say the least As for Shinobu, shes unique, but not particularly special other than she doesn't actually die.

Well I can finally make a final verdict on the game! I just beat Henry a few minutes ago and I say that I was completely blown away by No More Heroes. I will give just a big overall speech on the game now:
When I first got No More Heroes I thought it was a great game, but the more I played it the more it made me realize that its not just a great game, its an amazing game that everyone should get a chance to play once in their life. I think that No More Heroes ranks right up there with all of the other great gems on the Wii and would place in my top 10 Wii Games, if not my top 5. Its a completely original and unique experience that is only on Wii. Now some of you that are skeptical or think other wise about this statement, fine your all titled to your own opinions, but I'll at least make you think twice about that opinion. First of all No More Heroes has the best dialog in any game that I have played so far. The characters all have their own unique attitudes and some seem to act serious, other carefree, or just plain crazy. It always seems to have something funny to say and something else to surprise you. Dr. Peace and Henry in particular were great boss fights that had some generally funny moments and both were likable characters. As for people saying the dialog is dumb, its pretty much supposed to be. Thats the whole point of the game. Thats what many people seem to not get, its all about being funny, abstract, and all over the place. Everything you do in the game is a parody of something and is always over the top. It makes fun of normal life by making you have to do part time jobs and boring tasks in order to earn money. It takes everything from movies and makes it its own style and appeal. Thats the whole atmosphere of the game. If you say the combat is repetitive, well yes, but its tolerable and even fun depending on your opinion. This is because the combat is oh so satisfying. When you swing the remote to chop someones head off or cut them in half, you can't help but chuckle and enjoy it. Plus the combat doesn't have to be boring if you don't want it to be. You can throw in punches and kicks, charge up attacks, learn new powerful moves, or wrestle people to the ground, you don't have to always just avoid the enemy and press A and waggle when needed. My point is the game is enjoyable and I think that people need to give this a second look if they think the game is boring or dumb. Its also here to help others in possibly purchasing the game if they so desire.

This speech has been brought to you buy Supermarioman.
Also for everyone else I'm currently on the second play through on Mild and enjoying every bit of it. I'm also occasionally going back to the overworld just to get everything else I missed on the first profile.

Yeah, pretty much my feelings. Great game overlooked by many people (including me). Needless to say I've pre-ordered the sequel (April release I hope in the UK?), so I won't make the same mistake twice!

It's too silly, ruins it for me. It's no like Killer7. Plus, using the Wii Remote is such a pain!

Sean: I won't be able to pick up the sequel until the summer, I've preordered a little too much for now. I've got Monster Hunter 3 Bundle, Sin and Punishment 2, SMG 2, Metroid: Other M, Arc Rise Fantasia, and Red Steel 2 w/ Motion Plus all preordered. Not to mention yard sales and flea markets are opening up again (They Will be the End of Me).

Toki: A bit understandable on the part of it being a little to silly for some people, but how is using the Wii Remote a pain.

It's got a heck of a lot to say underneath the silly and can be every bit as deep as Killer 7.

This, but sometimes people have less of an attention span for silliness then we do Popyman.

Hey, I'm about to try and speed through this game as quickly as possible on Sweet difficulty. Does anyone have any tips? For one thing, which Lokimov powers to get? Any advice that will help me beat the game in the minimum amount of time is welcome.

I find Memory of Child, Woman and Three the most useful in that order. The first will certainly save you a good ten minutes or so before the last challenge match if speed is the issue; the other two are just generally very handy in fights.

Cheers. How about weapon upgrades... do you think any of them are really necessary other than the Power Up ones? The treasure finding Accelerator doesn't do much for me (cuz it's impossible to pinpoint exactly where it's buried even with those map dots) and the extended battery life just seems like a convenience. If I save the money on those upgrades I can get to the ranked fights quicker.
