Yeah, you can probably skip the extended batteries; it'll just add to the challenge a bit. However, you will need to get the full set of weapons to see the true ending, so don't skimp on those.

I'm not bothered about the true ending, but I think I'm going to get all the katanas anyway cuz it'll make the battles quicker. What do you reckon?

The reason I'm doing this is because I have previously owned the game and got to Rank 2 before selling my Wii... So I'm finding it a bit tiresome playing through again, I just want to beat the game quickly and put it away! I basically just want closure for my Backloggery :]

I enjoyed reading your little speech Supermarioman. Very happy to hear someone else join the fan club.

As for Katana's, I personally skipped the second one and just juiced up the first. Until of course the final one is available then you'll never need to change again, I love that thing so much, and the super cool moves you can pull off using it. When you get to number 1, then go searching for cash and buy the middle one, the true (and awesome) ending will await.

I'm midway through my bitter run, must get back to it. Damn you distractification!!!

Thanks for the tip 'chu, I'll stick with the Blood Berry then!

Buy all the katanas. You'll miss a whole boss and a awesome ending if you don't.

I really don't care :[ I have too many other games I need to play, I just want to get this one out of the way. In fact, if not buying katanas means I skip a boss then that's even better! I can always go back to it in the future and do it properly.

It's too silly, ruins it for me. It's no like Killer7. Plus, using the Wii Remote is such a pain!

It's got a heck of a lot to say underneath the silly and can be every bit as deep as Killer 7.

This, but sometimes people have less of an attention span for silliness then we do Popyman.

Now I like silly just as much as the next person, don't get me wrong. It's the anime silliness I don't care for, specifically. And as for its depth, I never played the whole game, so I can't say. But what I did play, I didn't like.

^ Wow, so what anime is like NMH? I'd like to know because I've never seen anything like NMH, anime or otherwise.

I thought the first game had solid gameplay and a fun story, wrapped in a terrible shell. The side missions were annoying if you failed one of them, as you had to drive all the way back to take the mission again, the jobs sucked, and the city was lifeless. Sounds like the second game adresses a lot of this though.

A Fool and his Wii Points are easily parted.

Supermarioman

I can explain the lifeless city in the game, everyone is dead Also the missions can be avoided, just do the jobs, look for cash, or (My Preferred Method) kill enemies or take on assassinations. Really more people need to pick this up and its sequel, but with things going on right now and all my pre-orders I won't be able to pick the sequel up till summer I feel you pain Europeans.

Fooly Cooly's a good example.

Well I want the game bad (plus I saw it for $17.99 at gamestop) but it's up to the parents, and they said they'd let me know on Wednesday if I can get it. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to get it I'm 17 and I'm going to be paying for it myself. (sigh) WarioWare D.I.Y will keep my occupied until then.

Vander: Well we all hope for the best for you, that is odd though if your of age just get the damn thing because you are allowed by law and don't show it to them or let them see it.

Well my dad told my mom No More Heroes was a shooting game (without seeing it) and I corrected him and told my mom it was a "swordfighting" game (which it practically is) and she said that helped my cause so yay for that. I think my Dad is more towards me getting No More Heroes, so another yay. I'll find out on Wednesday. I brought it up I wanted NMH last Friday and it feels like it has been a month waiting for an answer (even though it has only been 3 days) but WarioWare D.I.Y. is awesome so I'll be fine until Wednesday. I actually had a dream Saturday night that I was playing it and it was AWESOME. Maybe that's a sign! Or maybe it's just one of my typical video game dreams (but some have actually come true!)

I had a similar dream and as you can see from my comments it came true. Also its great to see that you have a higher chance of getting it now, if you like it be sure to post your opinions in the forums and we'll be glad to hear them. Any questions though?

And another example of depth hidden under silly =P

Best show ever.

Neither No More Heroes or Fooly Cooly possess hidden depth. I say that with 100% certainty. What you see is what you get, and it ain't much!

@supermarioman: I do have one question, how long is No More Heroes? If you guys liked the game so much to play through multiple difficulty levels then I'll probably do so too, so how long would one play-through take? Also I'm the type of person to collect everything so that would add a few hours. I am DEFINITELY getting it if I can, I just want to know when to save for NMH2

I will be sure to post my first impressions on wednesday (hopefully) Just gotta make it through tomorrow. Thank you Nintendo for making WarioWare D.I.Y. to help me stay occupied.
