Topic: NyxQuest or The Three Musketeers?

I have about 1,200 points left after buying Super Star Wars, and want to spend it on a WiiWare title. I am in the mode for some 2-D platforming, so which is better, NyxQuest or Three Musketeers?

Get The Three Musketeers. I'm making the same decision - they need the sales.

3 Musketeers needs all the sales they can get, but honestly... NyxQuest is a much better game.

Yeah, I had heard that NyxQuest was really good but it reminds a lot of people of LostWinds. That was a game I downloaded and didn't really care for, so thanks for the feedback, I think I may DL 3 Musketeers then.

That is a tough decision because both are good games. The Three Muskateers really needs all the sales that it can get so I applaud your choice! I really do hope that you enjoy The Three Muskateers as much as I did! Just buy NyxQuest later on!

Either one is a really good choice, which says something about the overall improvement in WiiWare quality! I'm personally holding off on Nyx, just because I think it'll be an excellent download for one of those periods where we go three or four weeks without a good release. A nice thing to discover at a period like that, rather than now when there's loads of other good stuff to play anyway. Spread it out a bit.

I agree, I hate when we get these bursts of good games, only because I feel overwhelmed. Most people are like, "Play this! Play That!", it it feels like I don't have enough time or money. So yeah, I will give 3 Musketeers a spin, and like you, I think in the next month or two, I will give NyxQuest a try.

I didn't care for Lost Winds but NyxQuest was awesome because it's better in the areas where Lost Winds was lacking, namely challenge and the confusing world map. LostWinds was solvable with the brain on autopilot, NyxQuest actually requires you to be awake. There's much less dead time and it feels much more intense overall.

I like both! They're both labors of love, plagued only by long loading screens.

Cheers TwighlightV. The loading stems from the compression really, hopefully for our next title it'll be sorted!

As soon as these reviews slow down, I plan to go back and finish up Musketeers and then play NyxQuest. Of course that might be Christmas the way things are going.

Plain old gamer :)
