Topic: Monster Hunter 3

Yeah I was off relatively early last night, disappointed about not getting barroth. And I know, I've played with him before when the game came out. Its just been so long since I last played the game and I didn't feel like looking like a noob.

Questions questions!!

Ok 2 questions here.

First one: Where is the best place to get advanced and higher armor spheres(what missions hunt or cap) or the best place to mine if you can?

Second question: Whats the difference between upgrading your low rank armour over level 6 and + rank armour. Which is better to have?

The best place to mine them is the volcano, specifically area 9. The tougher monsters, Agna, Uragaan, Diablos, are the best missions to get them in Quest rewards. Doesn't matter Hunt or Cap really.

Fully upgraded Low level Armor has the exact same Defence points as it's fully upgraded High Rank set. The only difference is the skills that are associated with each rank.

Been taking a break from online again, lol. Making an attempt to collect armor sets, I'm STILL working on that stupid Rathian Plate too. xD

Anyways, anyone know when that "Jump 4 Jaggi" or whatever its called going to be back again? I need some G. Jaggi Heads to upgrade the Jaggi Mask.

lol, I got lucky on the Rathian Plate. Carved it from the tail on my second try.

it took me ages to get a rathian plate. but i got lucky with rathalos (3rd try!).

I captured 3 Rathalos's online today, each time cutting its tail off and breaking its head... and I still didn't get a plate.

Ehm, hello...I just got this game not but a few days ago, and I'm slightly confused about a few things...

WARNING! THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS CONTAIN COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF NEWBIE-NESS!
1. How does one know when they are close to attaining a skill?
2. If a decoration is added to either a weapon or piece of armor, do the attributes still change the same (assuming that the same decoration is used)?
3. How the heck does one read the skill tree? In other words, when do you know what's increasing or decreasing when previewing a piece of equipment before you buy it? This one might be painfully obvious, but I've yet to figure it out...

I've been playing the game for almost 10 hours, and these questions still confuse me. If they're going to be answered later on as I continue to play, then feel free to make fun of me!

I'm not even going to bother to try to explain the skill tree, since I'd probably only make it more confusing, lol. Easiest way for me to reply is: Forge full sets of armor. Never, ever, EVER mix armor. I usually don't even bother reading their skills in the tree, quite honestly. You'll usually just want to forge armor for the raw and elemental defense, and then use their skills later on for more advanced quests.

However, if you're really interested in seeing which skills come with which armor, the Monster Hunter Wiki has all of them listed.

...Funny, for my 23rd b-day today, Monster Hunter gave me a Rathian Plate. XD
Also was able to complete my Lagia armor set too, apparently my b-day-ness all ended after that, since I have a hard time killing Barioth and getting rare items from Diablos now, lol.

Yeah...no one didn't say anything about the Jaggi though. Is it up now? Does the Mask give out even more stuff when upgraded?

The mask gives you Good Luck. It'll be up on the 27th I think. We need to do it together, because I need that mask!

Yeah I know, I have the mask, but when you upgrade with spheres enough time you're able to actually upgrade it. And it looked like you get something new like "Great Luck" or something, so I was just wondering...

lol yeah....anyways...anybody have any tips on that stupid Barioth? Seems like he's the only one that I have issues fighting. >_>
