Topic: Metroid Prime 2 Sooooo Difficult!

Did anyone find this game to be really hard!? I beat MP1 (i got stuck sometimes but not like mp2) I wanna play the games and order! I wanna play mp3 but wanna beat 2 first. This might be 1 of the games i need a guide for! Is anyone else having a hard time with mp2?

MP2 was easy peasy. I don't understand why people freak out over this. I thought it was on par with the original. 3 was more difficult than both, not that it was particularly hard either.

I think 2 is the hardest, then 1, and 3 is easiest.

If you're stuck, just go over the whole map carefully and see which rooms you can go to that you haven't been to yet.

MP2 was definately the hardest.. with some tricky and confusing mazes. and really devastating bosses. and it was the longest and biggest game. and the darkest. it also had the most difficult puzzles. but I beat them all.
corruption was too easy.

I'm not doing this on purpose, but I completely disagree with Adam, again. What's that about?! 0_o

Echoes IS the toughest Prime, followed by the 1st, and 3 was way too easy.

Not played 2 yet, but let me toss my nickel into the "Prime 3 was shockingly easy" corner.

I am sorry, but boost guardian alone makes Echoes the hardest. Anyone who says otherwise has to go back, and re-evaluate their opinion. Adam, I am look at you.

I never found it hard. Then I had to verse the Grapple Guardian.

@KoKoO_Psy I actually found that to be not so hard. I died the first time, but not the second.

Wii or Gamecube? Because in the wii one they made it easier.

Its pretty much widely regarded that MP2 is more difficult than MP1 and certainly moreso than MP3. You must be some kind of gaming ninja.

Its basically the MP 2 dark world section that's the killer; the ammunition systeM with limited shots, the madly spaced out save points make the game very tedious too. Not taking anything away from the game, which is brilliant...the environments in Echoes are amongst the very best in any game on any console too. I can''t remember, but I think ONM pretty much agree with what I just said there

. MP1 is also a little convuluted (eg. backtracking), but is the best game in the entire series and probably the best FPS style game you'll ever play. MP3 is smaller and more linear but smoother to play (in NPC terms) and is my personal fav...even though I acknowledge the particular greatness of the first one.

This is all nit picking you undersatnd. They're all brilliant, but some more than others imho....

Metroid Prime 2 is difficult? Bah! Sure it is a difficult game, but I love the challenge. I have not finished Metroid Prime 2 [Gamecube version] yet, but I know I have gotten far enough to obtain the Dark Suit. Once I'm through playing Muramasa:The Demon Blade, Mario & Luigi:Bowser's Inside Story, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, I will be playing Metroid Prime 2 again.
The only Metroid game I completed so far is Metroid Fusion.

Whether it's the most difficult of the three or not, I really can't say because I didn't bother to finish 3, but I was mostly saying that it's not hard. Maybe it is harder than the other two, but that is like saying one Kirby game is harder than another: maybe so, but they're all so easy I couldn't say myself.

I'll qualify this otherwise unnecessarily cocky post by saying that I'm actually not very good at video games and am usually the one to complain they're too hard (see the comments on the Life Force review page for more information), so don't hurt me for thinking this one's easy, please!

@Adam: Ergh, z-targeting, 2D/3D, and some others. I wasn't hurtin' ya fella, at least I hope not. Everything is 'IMO' on here, and don't we just know it. Speaking of which, SuperSonic1990, you might want to finish a game before you comment on it's difficulty.

Ah, so many people disagree with me on every thing I say that I forget.

Z-targeting is what made the first two so much easier than 3 for me, so maybe in the trilogy edition 2 would be the hardest, but certainly not in the original form where you just have to hold Z the whole game and keep circling and shooting ad nauseum.

hold z, press a, jump a bit, repeat

I need to get my MPT workin', aaagh.
