Anyway, I really disliked this title. I'm honestly not surprised in that fact as I've disliked almost all of the Mario sports titles (except for the Mario golf games), but still.
Haven't you disliked almost every Nintendo title in general...
Awww....that's cute that you keep track. You're wrong, but it's still adorable.
Anyway, recent Wii titles I've liked includeTatsuoko vs Capcom, Red Steel 2, Sin and Punshiment 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Mario Galaxy 2 (still overrated), Kirby's Epic Yarn, NBA Jam and Goldeneye.
Recent Wii titles I've disliked include this, Metroid:Other M (although that borders on hate) and Monster Hunter. You might as well throw in my distaste for the Mario collection as well.
How about that? The positives outnumber the negatives.

@The Fox The Mario Collection is quite a vast library though... and how can you hate/dislike Monster Hunter? I agree with Metroid: Other M, boring story and this "love" situation between Samus and that dude (I forgot his name already aha..) got stale fast. But loved the controls.
I was thinking of picking this up, but I'm still undecided... what I would really like is a demo. :/

Well, i'm glad to hear that you didn't buy your Wii for nothing
@xDemon720x Monster Hunter felt too much like a MMORPG, which I'm not keen on at all. It's nice to see that it still has legs amongst its fans, though.
@Faron Yeah, I've never regretted picking up a Wii. I might be a little harsh on it from time to time but it's still an excellent system.

@The Fox I'm not much of a fan of a MMORPG fan either... but MH3 is really fun to me, but I think it would get pretty boring without online multiplayer though...
But since you only have 4 people per city it never feels like an MMO... but I 'spose that is where it is kinda heading.
I'm gonna go browsing around town for a cheap copy of Mario Sports Mix tomorrow. But mainly waiting to speend my money on KEY.
Mario sports mix is totally worth trying out at least for the Online mode, you can even have a guest with you which I really like. Playing against the CPU however is pretty pointless, the difficulty is too easy to the point where you won't even want to score any goals just to end the games faster. Oh, and the Final Fantasy characters are cool to have in there.
Personally I don't really like the online mode. In my experience the connection either sucks, I dominate my opponents, or they use frustratingly cheap tactics. Once in a while it's fantastic, but not often.
What kind of cheap tactics are in a game like this?
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
So the online really isn't that laggy? At least not like Super Smash Bros Brawl?
SSBB is just bleeeh. I've rarely had a good match.
The thing with Sports Mix is when it finds a possible opponent, it shows their connection quality (ranging from 1 to 4 stars) and asks if you want to play against them or try to find someone else.
In my experience, 1 star was unplayable, 2 stars was frustrating (trying to catch a ball in dodgeball with a hint of lag is infuriating), but 3 and 4 stars are buttery smooth.
I dominate my opponents, or they use frustratingly cheap tactics.
so like every online multiplayer game ever?
from what I've played so far, it's a fun sports game with variety because of the different sports but a lack of variety because...well you can see why they've usually made one sport for one game in the past.
Sure? I rarely play one on one games online, so it isn't like the other games that I play online (Mario Kart and Tri mostly)
The one thing that recently irritated me was playing dodgeball in Daisy's arena. My opponent threw the ball to the Petey Piranha plant, which spat it randomly at one of my characters. Opponent has the ball on the rebound, throws it to Petey, spits randomly at my guys. Opponent has the ball on the rebound... seriously, how could he find this enjoyable in any way? I don't care if it's effective, it's a good way to turn a fun game into a menial repetitive task.
@wobee Like in any Mario sport game then? They use the same cheap tactic to win. :3
In Mario Kart Wii its using 12th place items at 1st place. In Mario Sports Mix its using any cheap tactic repetitively on all the stadiums. In Mario Strikers its scoring a goal and holding the ball behind their goalie.
Unfortunately people will use the tactics in the Mario games cheaply and use them over and over just so that they can win. And that's what usually drives me away from most Mario sport games, because when you play online there's always gonna be one butthead using a cheap tactic over and over throughout the game.

Oh yeah. I saw that mentioned on Nintendo Week and wondered if it could be used as a cheap tactic..
I don't think there are any overly cheap tactics in the Mario baseball games.

Ehhhh Mario Kart I'd say is more about the trying to balance out the players skills rather than being a cheap tactic. Obviously it isn't perfect, but it's one of the better games at leveling the playing field.
And to be honest I've never played any other Mario sports game... ever.
Oddly my favorite thing in the game is how you apparently unlock much of the extra content. BY REPLAYING A TOUNAMENT YOU ALREADY PLAYED AND FINDING SECRET PASSAGES AND WARP PIPES. And then playing what is basically the game's equivalent of Smash Bros. Events. That's pretty awesome.
Cactuar isn't broken, he is just really fast. He sucks at everything else.
As for the Dodgeball in Daisy's stage, how the heck did that happen. You can't throw the ball to Petey right away, takes a while for him to open its mouth.
