Topic: Little King's Story cut to $29.99 at GameStop

It's not that easy, y'know. Stores have to follow certain guidelines set by the company. Sections like that wouldn't really work too well, and we'd be forced to remove them anyway.

I haven't worked in retail but I've heard that in most stores (especially large chains), shelf location is paid for. So if a publisher doesn't pay for prominent shelf space, a title doesn't get it. Period. I've also heard that there are people who are paid to go around to random store locations and verify that titles are getting the shelf space (and special displays) that the publisher paid for.

Yes, my managers have talked about paid shelf space before. EA does it the most with their sports games. It's a really stupid, unfair way to do things, imo. Mostly because the sections where the paid to display games go are labeled "new release" instead of something more approprate, while the ACTUAL new releases get lost in the shuffle.

Ugh... I just spent $50 bucks on mine...

@caelett: Sorry to hear about that bad timing...but the game is still worth what you paid, so don't feel TOO bad (even though I'm sure I would if I was you...sorry...I'm not too good at this). sigh Always happens with price drops, doesn't it?

I think this is only a temp price drop because the used price is higher than the new on the site, last I looked.

I think this might be ending tomorrow, possibly. That's when the online flyer said sakes would end unless said otherwise (something like that).

No, it's ongoing. I saw next week's flier today, and it's still listed there. Not sure how much good it'll do anyone, though. I can't speak for other stores, but we're sold out already.

I got it for £14.99 brand new somehwere. Seriously. Best value-for-money game I've ever bought!

@Stuffgamer- Heck. Means I could have waited. Maybe got it for my b-day. of course if the MP Trilogy would be good, doubt I'd get it unless I really hinted and maybe my bros. went in on it together.
