Topic: Kid Icarus Petition

Everyone is so going to kill me for this, but I actually support and even signed the petition. I'm the 31th signer of this petition. Although I should have used my real name.

Sakamoto said Nintendo will make one if there is enough demand for the game.

At least it makes some sense unlike the Sonic 4 petition.

Then don't sign the petition if you don't want the game.

I'm shocked at some of the behavior on this forum towards this petition. Supposedly they said they want us to make some noise if we want a new KI game, so this seems to me to be an organized way of doing it. There's no need to belittle the creator of the petition.

What's so special is the concept. the original game was decent... not as revolutionary as a metroid or mario or zelda, but if nintendo was to give us an updated (read: modern) version, it could be FANTASTIC.

His name wasn't Jesus Christ, it was Jesus from Nazareth. Christ is the title people gave him after he died.

Well, He had the title during His life, as well, among some. It merely denoted His place as the Messiah. But you're right. It was not His name. Common misconception, but people understand what is meant, generally.

Online petition, you say? That's certainly not a waste of time.

If they make a new Kid Icarus game, I just know it will suck. I will be forced to boycott it and get the original Kid Icarus instead!!!

Same could be said about F-Zero & Star Fox. F-Zero fans seem to mostly be into racers, which I just don't care about, & Star Fox fans seem to mostly be into space shooters, which again, I don't care about either. So maybe the people that want a new Kid Icarus game are just like the people that want a new F-Zero or Star Fox game, they enjoyed what they played & want more.

Most of the people that want a new Kid Icarus feel this way about people clamoring for a new Star Fox or F-Zero, there hasn't been a Kid Icarus game since the days of the NES, whereas the other two have had games on the SNES, N64 and Gamecube. With that rate of production, it seems inmevitable that we will see a new F-Zero and Starfox game for the Wii. Kid Icarus fans have been waiting over 20 years for another game, it's just a bit different than wanting a new game in a series that have been released in the last cycle of systems when this one probably isn't halfway through.

This is a thread about signing a petition to try and show support for a new Kid Icarus game. For someone to come on here and ask "Why would you want a new KI game, I want this or that" is silly and warrants no answer.

If you want "this or that" game, then start your own petition and thread for it.

Not to mention, what would you have me say? Am I anywhere linked to Nintendo that I could tell him the answer that he's looking for? No.
