The NPC title where made to fill up the release calendar since Nintendo couldn't release any heavy hitting titles at the time. The reason Nintendo are not going to give us anymore NPC titles is because they have better things to do and there is no valuable point.

I'm sure we will see more NPC games starting at the end of the year or 2011. Or just when they have all the new games out and need to make something to keep us occupied while they're making a brand new game!
Well if they do release more NPC games people will whine that they're doing them instead of making more new games.

I wonder when Pikmin 2 will be made available in the USA? It's been on the shelves here in the EU for ages.
they really should.. pronto. the only way it'll be excusable is if they release a Pikmin Trilogy
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
As far as I'm aware, they didn't do too hot sales-wise. Plus, Miyamoto didn't like them. Thus, they can't exist. I still don't see what the big deal is. All of the games in the New Play Control series were on previous systems, why not just play them on Gamecube?
Best thread ever
Feel free to add me on Miiverse or PSN.
Miiverse is Moomoo14, PSN is Moomoo1405390
Well, I like the widescreen support (rare on the 'cube) and being able to play them without plugging in a controller and memory card (this is the main thing). If Nintendo had somehow fudged the ability to use the CC with Gamecube games and save data to the Wii's internal memory I'd probably have more interest in the Gamecube catalogue.
As it stands I've only got two games on the shelf. If Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction wasn't so awesome I would unload it, to be honest. Naturally Mr. Driller Drill Land, being one of the best games of all time, isn't one I can part with, though if Namco merely ported it unchanged to the Wii I'd buy it in a second!
It's not like they were difficult to make; they wouldn't have to do to hot, sales wise.
I just want my pikmin 2. I'm hoping they're holding it to build up hype for Pikmin 3, sort of like how Prime Trilogy came out around when Other M was announced.

Agreed about Pikmin 2 coming to North America -- really want to see that game in New Play Control form, because I strongly prefer the pointer controls to the original (and the original is quite tough to find anyway).
Also want to mention how awesome it is to see Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction mentioned. Not sure how that game would really benefit from NPC, but it's an awesome and often overlooked retro title that is still worth playing!

Or maybe they're doing what Sony did with God of war: Make the first two games into a collection for the Wii (PS3 for GoW)
