They should have just made a new Mario Tennis though, sucks it was a remake... RE 2 and 3 remakes like RE 1. I know thats not Nintendo but they should do that.

For NPC, you need games that will work with the Wii control scheme. Simply, Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion etc. would not work. And there is no point for them to bring Double Dash to the Wii.

I don't know. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat didn't work that well either... but it was switched over. The original control scheme was much better even though it required a special peripheral.
However, I agree that in many cases it would make more sense to just create new games (maybe with similar themes) instead of trying to retrofit older ones with new control schemes. Mario Golf Toadstool Tour is a great example.
It's not like they were difficult to make; they wouldn't have to do to hot, sales wise.
I just want my pikmin 2. I'm hoping they're holding it to build up hype for Pikmin 3, sort of like how Prime Trilogy came out around when Other M was announced.
Or maybe they're doing what Sony did with God of war: Make the first two games into a collection for the Wii (PS3 for GoW)
Kind of hard to do when the original is already out on Wii.
