Not really. Honestly think about how much time was inbetween the GC and the Wii. or the 64 and the GC. Now those systems look really boring. If it has internet it should be good enough. Honestly I am getting pretty dang bored of the wii. I just got a boat load of points cards for my BDay so I will be back into it. My DSi is giving me way much more play time between flipnote & DIY

I just got one for Christmas, I have plenty of catching up to do. It's not just that but the upcoming big titles, and MH3 looks like a game that will keep me playing a long time when I get it.

I don't wan't a new console yet....The Wii2 should hit around Nov 2011 or early 2012. But honestly Nintendo can take their sweet ass time, as the new 3DS is hitting in October hehe.

I'm still doing fine with my wii, and I have a backlog that will last me a lifetime, but I think they'll need to release a new console within a year of Natal/Move in order to stay competitive on the market. I figure for about a year they'll still have a price advantage for new adopters.

Wii = $200 1 M+ if bundled with a game = $10 Total = $210
I don't know what Natal will cost, but probably more than $10 on top of a $200 Xbox Arcade.

That's a huge difference in price to get started. The wii does get more expensive as you add controllers. Controller 2 would cost $75-$85 (Wiimote=$40, Nunchuck=$15, WM+=$10-$20). Extra Move's would probably be a bit cheaper. If you already have a PS3, you can get started with Move for not that much more than a full Wiimote set would cost. However, Nintendo can always release a full controller pack or a Wiimote and WM+ bundle to make their controllers cheaper.

Assuming Sony and Microsoft realize they will need to do more than WSR HD to get both current PS3 owners and Wii owners to upgrade and get new gamers to drop the extra dough for an HD system over the Wii, eventually the price will drop, and the Wii won't be particularly competitive. Nintendo will have to give consumers another option that can compete with the HD twins. Plus, I figure we can't be more than another 2 years away from near complete market saturation with the Wii. If Ninty wants continued high hardware sales numbers for it's stockholders (it does), it'll need to offer them a new console to buy. We'll get a new console for Christmas 2011 to Christmas 2012 at the latest.

Pretty bored with the Wii, but dont like the other two much more. Will wait till something can really compete with PC gaming.

I'm not bored with it at all. I still have loads of games to play and there are still loads of gamecube, wii, vc and wiiware games that I'm planning on getting that I haven't got yet.

I'm fine with there being no replacement for the Wii for at least two years, especially since the Wii is still plenty fresh and I've got an ever-growing list of games I want to buy (and that list is mostly retail titles, there's still plenty of VC and WW games once broadband connections finally reach my little neighborhood)...

I'm not bored just yet. You may have got all the most recognized titles, but maybe you should look harder for under-appreciated ones. Trust me, there's always something.

Yup, I personally don't see how someone could get bored unless they only pay attention to the biggest of releases.

I think credible whispers and rumors will start appearing by the end of this year, with leaks throughout early 2011 for all three companies plans for a new system. E3 2011 will probably show them off in early form, with a release in 2012 at the very latest.

There are plenty of good games around if you look hard enough.

Count me in with the group that can go another couple of years. I'll probably be ready by Christmas of '11 or the summer of '12.

A new console is always welcome to me, in a good time period at least. But with the release of all theses good games coming out I doubt they would release another console right away, because then they would have to create a new game of all their popular series, unless they started with brand new character and series on their next console. Nintendo could just think that the Wii will do all their old series' justice, then move on to completely new charcters. I think it would even be cool to play different charcters in the same world, but have a differents stroies and stuff. Instead of having Mario in the next "Mario" game, it could be like another "human" charcter like Mario, but a different clothing style. But in the stories, they would take place in a different place completely unrelated to Mario.

Edit: Link going to Termina was awesome because of a charcter we already know continuing on a completely new story unrelated to anything he did before, and leaving all those people he knew, but saw similarities in all of the characters(which were basically the same beside job roles), but actually had lives to interact with in that story.
