Honestly I am getting pretty tired of the wii. I think that nintendo made enough portables for now.
If you think it is time suggest your new idea for a console.

That is TLinkerbell to you!

Lets face it,not enough Vc games or any quality titles coming out beside mario galaxy 2 and legend of zelda
Probly after these are relesed I doubt anything good will ever come out for the Wii,

Yes, it's called the X36Wii!! It's the combination of all three current gen consoles. It can't possibly fail

I am not bored yet, it's probably cause I haven't been able to play too much since I had been working on my masters. But now that I am almost done it's time to play the heck out of it and join your fellas on the boat and ask Nintendo to make a new home console!

Nope having tons of fun with the wii still, don't want a new console just yet, perfectly happy with the tons of quality VC games as is, even if the service is slowing, there are still tons of classics for me to choose from, also wiiware has been a terrific service a steady stream of quality puzzle games, and quirky platformers, plenty of life left in wii yet, long may it continue.

Its only about three years into it's life cycle, get yourself comfortable. Its got at least two more to go.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I got bored with the Wii along time ago. I got an Xbox 360, and I love it. Batman Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age Origins, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 3 ODST, Assassin's Creed II, there's just so many great games! =D

What .?? You can't be tired of the Wii now ?? It is the greatest year for the Wii. This is not some fanboy rant I get you got tired of your wii because let's face it the last years haven't been jam packed with great titles like we would've wanted, but the thing is the next half year will be !!! And then again after we get our Zelda Wii it will al go downhill again...
...Unleeeess they will finally announce Pikmin 3 (which I think is already sort of announced ?), new F-Zero, Star Fox, a 3D pokemon rpg, etc (probably forgetting a few)
But I totaly get where you are coming from, I had the same feeling a year ago.

I suppose I wouldn't mind a new console as long as they allow full license transfer of digital content from the current generation to the next. Backwards compatibility is a must, at least for Wii if not GameCube games, just being realistic, they probably won't continue support that far back forever, but at least for Wii. Without knowing what kinds of games are coming out for the system that can't be done on current hardware, the only thing would be the digital transfer, if unavailable being a deal breaker.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

I'm guessing 2012.

They'll probably drop the GC compatibility

I have 2 consoles, so I'm quite content. Also, I'm bored with neither of them. On the Wii I just got Monster Hunter Tri, and on the 360 I just got Bioshock 2. Maybe it has to do with how many games you're purchasing, or if you only have a Wii (at which point I would totally understand your boredom.) Plus, we're not getting a new console soon, at least I hope. 2012 seems like the earliest to me.

No. I'm perfectly happy with my Wii right now. I think early 2012 would be a good time to release a new console.

Moco_Loco

I've had mine since June so I have plenty to play, and not enough time anyway.

If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

I honestly think that the Wii has at least one or two good years left in it. And for an announcement of the Wii 2 or whatever it will be sometime within a year and a half with a release scheduled for holiday 2011 or sometime in 2012.

Between my Wii and Xbox 360, I'm just fine for another two years. Neither of them collect dust, at least one new game for each system a month, I'm good. The people that are bored aren't looking for games hard enough OR they are those wonderful Nintendo fans who talk about getting a game up until the release and then don't get it at all, and, instead, complain about how there's nothing to play

There's about 30 games I still want to play, excluding future releases. The Wii is my favourite console of all time, and I hope the next one is still a long way off.
