Topic: IGN score for SMG2: 10

I still need to finish up all the additional stars in the first SMG before I get this one. (That's not due to a lack of interest; I bought the original SMG over a year after release, and love it so much that I only will play if I'm in exactly the right mood to fully focus on and enjoy each level).

Wow!!!!!!!!! Im with Panda, my hype level just sky rocketed (not that it wasn't already high). GOTY anybody?

So he says NSMBW played it too safe, by bringing us new levels, new power-ups, and Mario's first four-player simultaneous adventure, but Galaxy 2, which brings us new levels, new power-ups, and... well, that's it, is gaming perfection. Yep, that makes a lot of sense. Not that I dispute or even care about the score, what smacks of hypocrisy is the comment that NSMBW is the lesser game because it somehow "played it safe." The game looks good, but IGN's opinion as usual is worthless.

That's cuz it's 3D with "graf1x and sh1z." I know, it's bs too, but I still want this game.

NSMBW was a lesser game though than even Galaxy 1 so the scoring was fair even if the comments are hypocritical.

I'll have the review in the system later tonight, so it should go up shortly after that. Wanted to spend just a little bit more time with it for the review. (At least that's my excuse. Truth is I can't stop playing it long enough to write it up.)

Lol, I didn't even read the comments on IGN at first, but I just decided to give it a glance. Those are some butthurt people. I hope when Zelda comes out it scores a 10 just to piss them off even more.

@Aviator But 121 of those were just with a different character. Craig already said on Twitter that it's something different than a new character.

@Raylax I just remembered..... there was a screenshot of the game that appeared to be a Delfino Island galaxy. I know that's Sunshine instead of 64, but other games could be included..... couldn't they?

Sounds about right I guess. Game Informer magazine give it a 9.25
