they should just "dedicate a whole channel" to new upcoming and newly released games wii/wiiware/vc/ds/dsi/3ds etc this is where you should see trailers (with friends aka maybe a party room channel for watching videos maybe using wii speak) <that might be a little too much> but you get me , leave nintendo channel just for nintendo week and interviews and that game challenge of the week stuff and maybe that game rating by users. idk just a thought ?
Hmm, the Nintendo Channel is SORT of like that I guess? Well I think alot like what you have in mind there. but just video trailers of upcoming software's ^^
The older photo channel will work. I noticed that the updated photo channel can be copied to the SD and deleted from the main memory at least on models before the photo channel came out. This allows access to both photo channels. there is a main difference between the 2 photo channels though. The old one supports MP3 and not sdhc so a smaller sd card and the newer photo channel supports aac and sdhc.
So delete the photo channel from the Wii's memory and play them in there and keep the newer photo channel on sd card.
I don't know if this will work on wiis made after the Photo Channel update.
I knew someone was going to mention that when I posted it - yeah I have the original photo channel but it's hardly a music player. You get to select a track to play whilst your slideshow is running - it's hardly something that can be used at a party where you can arrange playlists, add songs people want and leave it running unattended for a time. It'd be a simple program for them create and it'd even be something people would be willing to pay for - I have no idea why we don't have it yet. A Spotify channel where you could add your own tracks would be fantastic.

I don't think we will get it. Nintendo seems to have gone against mp3. While games like Excite Truck and Endless Ocean supports mp3 their sequels do not. The photo channel also switched from MP3 to AAC.
I think and aac channel would be more likely since Nintendo does not like paying licensing fees.
