Particularly from games. One that comes to mind is Monster Hunter Tri. Having a channel in the same style of Mario Kart Wii that tells oyu what the current event quests are, what items are being sold, etc would be very useful.
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
Some of the Japanese channels are brilliant, but they're centered around Japanese companies or concepts. So it's that, and not sod's law, that dictates the Today and Tomorrow Channel making its way around the world, and genuinely worthwhile channels staying in Japan.
The whole front end was a bit poorly-planned from the start. I can't see any more channels arriving, but some - Check Mii Out, Nintendo - are still worthwhile timewasters.
wii really needs a CD channel, for music!! one that works even when a channel (like the one i'm using to write this!!
I just use the Photo Channel for that since they do offer to play music off the SD Card within slideshows. I don't have Netflix so no movies. I wish it could've played DVDs. Check Mii Out and Everybody Votes grew stale after a while. News and Weather work when needed.
That reminds me, have any of you NA owners noticed that the AP if slimming down the categories they offer. I checked a few times earlier in the week, and several of the categories did not have stories (I'm pretty sure science/Health was one of them).
There definately needs to be an MP3 music channel. The amount of times I've wanted to play music through the tv (preferably with some funky visuals on screen) when hosting a social gathering but, instead, having to plug the laptop into crappy speakers and trying make sure no one is downloading porn/viruses/deleting stuff off it whenever I'm not looking.
There definately needs to be an MP3 music channel.
The older photo channel will work. I noticed that the updated photo channel can be copied to the SD and deleted from the main memory at least on models before the photo channel came out. This allows access to both photo channels. there is a main difference between the 2 photo channels though. The old one supports MP3 and not sdhc so a smaller sd card and the newer photo channel supports aac and sdhc.
So delete the photo channel from the Wii's memory and play them in there and keep the newer photo channel on sd card.
I don't know if this will work on wiis made after the Photo Channel update.
they should just "dedicate a whole channel" to new upcoming and newly released games wii/wiiware/vc/ds/dsi/3ds etc this is where you should see trailers (with friends aka maybe a party room channel for watching videos maybe using wii speak) <that might be a little too much> but you get me , leave nintendo channel just for nintendo week and interviews and that game challenge of the week stuff and maybe that game rating by users. idk just a thought ?
Other than more on demand TV stuff I'm not too bothered about any new channels, netfix for the UK might be nice but not something I see as a must have.
Particularly from games. One that comes to mind is Monster Hunter Tri. Having a channel in the same style of Mario Kart Wii that tells oyu what the current event quests are, what items are being sold, etc would be very useful.
Who's with me! Anymore suggestions?
There is o,o? wait is this for the US only? ( I didn't know about this) o:
I hope there's a Mii Channel update which lets you exchange Miis with a 3DS. None of that secret code stuff required for DS games.
There's already going to be a method to copy Miis from the Wii to the 3DS.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
