Once you have all the VC games you want, do you still "need a fix"?
I keep hoping for games I'd actually like, but alas, most of the games I've never heard of. Therefore, I look into getting certain games for my fix. I most recently downloaded Sonic Spinball. I also downloaded Kirby's Dream Land 3, and have found it superior to Super Star.

even though im waiting on a list of old favorites (and probably will be for a long time) i usually do some research and learn of games ive never played or heard of before and see their reviews as well as youtube them, which has made my list longer. i just keep a list of games i absolutely have to have. dont want every game in the world...i plan on beating all these lol

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
The VC got me started on a collecting kick. I was downloading VC games left and right, I even went so low as to get Donkey Kong Jr........Math. To make better use of my funds and take advantage of the slow pace of releases I started scouring Ebay for cheap systems and games instead.
I do jones to download games still, i've had 700 points in limbo for months. It's just that I already have everything I want, via VC or other systems.
