For those that are wondering about future VC games, here's an offiical answer by Nintendo:

We hear from fans every day who want to know when a particular game will appear on Wii's Virtual Console or who wish to let us know which Virtual Console games they want to see added to the service. Because we appreciate your excitement and support, we would like to explain a few things:

Unlike standard Wii games which have release dates that are known well in advance, there is rarely advance notice given of when Virtual Console games will appear. For a variety of business and technical reasons games may be postponed, so we usually don't reveal much past the current Monday's releases.

Remember that Virtual Console games come from several different companies and that decisions regarding which games will appear there are influenced by a variety of factors apart from consumer suggestions.

New titles will continue to be added, so there's an excellent chance that the title for which you're looking will eventually appear. For the most up-to-date list of Virtual Console titles, please visit your Wii Shop Channel or press.nintendo.com

It doesn't help too much, but at least the last part made me regain some of my confidence.

I pretty much know about the impromptu nature of the releases (due to the relative ease of emulation); I just want to know why more games are not being released.
