After the froggy torture in Sonic Adventure on the DC, I've been avoiding fishing games. Those fishing levels absolutely bored me and drove me insane. I did sort of enjoy the fishing in Ocarina of Time, though.
I've never had any interest in fishing games, but you guys are making me want to try Fishing Resort.
yep I finally had some downtime to get back to it. As usual I woke up & went straight to those rocks. Didn't see any sharks, so I checked out that high cliff & had no luck there. It was getting late so I thought I'd try the rocks again before quitting, since I had to pass by them anyway. I figured yet another wasted day. I saw a shark swimming around the bobber, didn't figure it'd hit as usual. Then suddenly I got a bite, I didn't see what it was but didn't think it was that shark. It put up a big fight, took the line way out. Turned out to be the Japanese Bullhead, IIRC almost 3 ft long.
I'm glad I got to move forward now, I was about to quit the game. I dont have time to replay parts of games over & over, or have certain ingame conditions to be met, I have to make progress or it's just a waste of my time. I like how you get awarded pts for just about anything. I took the charter boat out a couple times, I caught a big yellowtail 1st trip, & my son lost a 2 ft red snapper. 2nd trip I got a red admiral (adult). I registered for the fishing contest next time I play.
@FloY, I'm really glad to know you're enjoying Fishing Resort. I didn't purchase the bundle myself, but the Motion+ WiiMote & Nunchuck functions really great. The experience still feels realistic without the rod attachment, when reeling in a fish. I find it just as relaxing as real fishing is.
