Alright, first impressions. The game looks very impressive for a WiiWare game (like all Shin'en games). Great sense of speed and I love the switching between colours to gain adventages on speed or jump pads. They are a bit unfair though, but that's probably just learning the track and saving and using the power pills at the right time.
It's too bad that you can't get powerups to shoot enemies off the track. I also didn't get the Slice move, rather would have a Mario Kart Wii like drift mode with the B button instead of 1 and 2 at the same time. I'm also not sure if you are supposed to land that hard. Makes me wonder if there is some sort of way to get the craft back in horizontal position.
But after a few races I really like the game. Will post more when I have played the game more.

Thanks for the early impressions! I'm really interested in this one after watching the trailer. How are the controls? Is it motion or traditional or both?
WOW! That looks really great! So fast and such high-end Wiiware graphics and it still runs very smoothly! And I guess I got my answer on motion controls (I'm happy they have motion instead of traditional). I'm guessing it doesn't have online multi-player?That's a real shame if it doesn't...
I watched the video. The sense of speed seems a bit on the slow side...and what's with hopping to number 1 right away, does it get more challenging in later levels? Please tell me they introduce weapons in later levels. I mean, I plan on picking it up because its Shin'en and all, but as it is, it seems kinda lacking to be honest.

There is no online and no weapons. There is a boost when you have five power pills and you can change color with one (and using jumps and speed pads. Not sure what you mean with "hopping to number 1 right away" but you start as number one but by timing it right, you can gain a starting boost like in most other racing games.

I just finished some multiplayer games. I really miss the weapons. A simple laser to shoot someone away in front of you would be enough. What is more worrying is that after a crash, you are put back on the track ahead. So during a crash you see you are second or third and you come back as the number one. If I'm crashing, I'm not complaining, but when it's the other way around, it's really unfair.

Wow, that's really weird. Never heard that before. So if you are falling behind you can just crash on purpose and you are put back in first place? Lets say if a CPU is right about to finish in first place you can just crash into a wall and you are put right in front of the finish line? Seems kind of broken to me.
No, not like that. I was in first place, I crashed, I see the ranking drop to two and three and when I returned on the track, I was first again.
I was racing another time against my sister. I was 6, she was 5. I had her in my crosshair (well, sort of) and she crashed. I passed her and all of the sudden she returned in front of me.
And when you return you are standing still, so you still have a bit of a disadvantage.

What I meant by that is what I noticed from observing the videos. When you begin the race, you get to 1st place right away and remain unchallenged for the rest of the race.

I think that's a boost at the start, and your not challenged in earlier cups.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Sense of speed looks really dummed down. I mean, I'm travelling at supposedly 200+ MPH, but it feels more like 30 MPH. The graphics look amazing, especially for a WiiWare game, but the sense of speed knocks me off slightly. They should've released it as a retail game if possible.
