Ohmigod, ohmigod, OH MY GOD! I just got this in the post today (bargain basement price of £24.26 for the one with the Wii Wheel pack-in, brand new including P+P) and IT IS SOOOOOO AWESOME! Completely outdoes Excite Truck for me. I was in the zone, man got S ranks in the School Cup in all bar one track on the first go (that one I got an A...big points required).

Then, most amazing of all, I decided to try online figuring that having a country setting of Brasil and being in the UK I'd have a rubbish experience, but it was actually very good even in a 6-bot race. I even won 200 stars! What a brilliant game this is. 5X10^6 lashes with a wet noodle for NoE for not bringing it over, it is so lovely! If you can import I do strongly recommend it and I'm happy to swap codes (check the sig) though the time zone make make arranging friendlies tough. Just look for SEAN in the randoms and it might be me!

Did I mention I like this game?

This game is awesome. Hopefully Europe will get it some day.

Racing games other than F-Zero aren't my thing. Doesn't really matter that I live in the US, I don't want it.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

When you guys in the UK consider 24 pounds a bargain, it makes me sad...I got it on Amazon for like $20 with the Wii wheel. And with the ECA discount, it was nearly free since I bought DS: Extraction at the same time.

Somebody set up us the bomb.

This game is the reason why I got into the Excite series and now I look forward to Excitebike World Rally on Monday.
I usually play on the weekends as Ray with a lightning bolt icon.

We consider £24 for a game which has to be shipped over here, comes with a Wii Wheel, and requires an NTSC Wii to play to be a bargain. For usual PAL games, £24 isn't really a bargain.

I tried excitebots and had an decent time with it but didn't find it to be something I would buy. The random minigames and stuff are fun but I really wanted just a straight race mode where all the other stuff didn't matter. Its an original game but they could have added more traditional racing modes to make it appeal to more people.

Excitebots: Trick Racing. Yeah it’s not your typical racing game considering its all about performing tricks and stunts. However, the adrenaline rush, bot smashing, and physics involved in it are incredible. I personally like going all out in online races, not even bothering to finish first, just performing wild stunts and ending up winning first or second by having more stars than the rest.

I may pick it up, since I can find it fairly cheap on Amazon.com. I have been meaning to pick up a 2nd wii wheel for my girlfriend since we love Mariokart, spending a bit extra for Excitebots sounds like a good idea.

Haha, yeah this game is pretty rad. Unfortunately I don't own a copy, though I rented it several times.

I may pick it up some time and we can totally race. :3

Huge fan of Excite Truck... I have not played Excite Bots yet. Sean, you make me want to load it up. I will try it soon. That's cool you can play it online. Would like to try that.

Had Excitebots come to Europe I would have bought it, for about £25.

I was all set to pre-order this baby and then zippo. Very disappointed. Now I am undisappointed; especially since I can enjoy the online as well.

@Ramandus: The actual game was £15 and change, the rest was postage so even by UK standards it was a bargain. Considering I got notification it had posted last Friday the fact that it was in my hands yesterday even with Royal Mail's labour disputes is nothing short of a miracle.

I do hope this inpires others in the Americas (or importers) to go out and get it because it really does improve over Excite Truck. The game feels faster and it's much easier to pull off the spins. I also was dubious about the Wii Wheel and though it was a rubbish plastic shell, but having used it I wouldn't go back as it does add to the feel and the b-trigger is easier to hit; I'll be curious to see how it works with Need For Speed: Nitro as well!

If I turn up at your doorstep this weekend, Wii Wheel in hand, looking for some Excitebots fun, don't be surprised.
