I don't put it past anyone to go a little rogue on a project and take the directed style so far that it goes over the cliff. I'm guessing that's what happened with these images. You will NEVER (yes, I'm saying NEVER) see an apocalyptic image of a crumbling Epcot Center get Disney's approval for public release. Just so we're clear, NEVER. But what we don't know is whether these images were meant as herrings to start the design negotations - something to scale back from and still meet the artists' goals, or if they were just done as a bit of fun and to plump the artists' portfolios.
EDIT: Clickety, I just saw your reply above to Dragon - one word, say it with me now... "NEVER."

Disney licensing Mickey and Goofy for the deranged and depraved? Ridiculous. They have spent literally billions of dollars polishing their image to what it is today. In fact, if this gets a bit more exposure, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the hammer on the concept art. I don't believe "fair use" would cover mark infringement in pursuit of commercial interest.
Don't forget Kingdom Hearts and the way the various Disney characters were portrayed in that..
I'm disappointed that the only one who ever flirts with me here is Adam.

Wow. Three years is an unprecedented time for an licensed game. Maybe if this sells, we'll see some Disney games on the Virtual Console?
On topic, it's creepy alright. I've never seen something like this, Maybe it's an Kingdom Heart 3, maybe it's going to be rated T for Teens, just to let you know, I've never expected this to happen.

Well, for most of the time its has been in pre-production, but for Disney, this is very important title. It is meant to establish them as a one of the biggest players in the digital entertaiment field, and to make Mickey Mouse relevant for the current generation.
