Topic: Dreamcast on Virtual Console?

It would be great if Dreamcast games were on VC, but a lot of them would be too big. Also, what about online play? That was a key component of many of the games. Would they be treated as Wiiware games? If Nintendo could do it, I'd be psyched. The Dreamcast was SEGA's best system by far.

Yeah, they would probably be too big, or take up like, 1000 blocks or something. But moomoo has a good point. They'd be perfect as WW games.

Dreamcast and Gamecube games are far too big for the VC. One game could fill up the average SD card and would take forever to download

@Iz2009: Exactly, which is why we'll have to wait until next generation for any hope of support from either of those consoles.

There are thousands of Commodore 64 games; to pin the Virtual Console's success on just two of them being released... well, thats too specific isn't it?

Not really. While I enjoy some of the games on the VC, those are the two games I want more than any. It's just my opinion, and one I've supported by rarely buying any VC games. If those two games hit the market, I'd buy them immediately, regardless of price.

And M.U.L.E may well end up being released on the NES instead. Is there much difference between the NES and the C64 versions?

I don't know. Probably not much difference, and I'd be happy no matter what console it is released under.

Currently playing: Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA), Infinite Space (NDS)

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Some people say the controller felt awkward. I tried it only once at a store many years ago, and I've had no problem with it.

Colecovision would be cool. I'm still miffed my folks sold my Colecovision (with Atari adapter) at a yard sale before they up'd and moved this last time.

The problem is that the Colecovision's main selling point was "faithful arcade ports", making it somewhat pointless to add to the service. Adding the actual arcade games would be better - the Colecovision's exclusive console titles were both few and generally not very good.

I think the SEGA CD would show up before the Dreamcast did. Even then, what are the odds of that? You'd think the SEGA CD would show up by now, unless they have problems emulating it.

Yeah, I'd like the Feka CD for the Virtual Console too.

Sega CD would be nice. Sonic The Hedgehog CD is underrated as it's such a great game.

Just get Sonic Gems Collection.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.

Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

@BulbasaurusRex - I already have Sonic Gems Collection, since Easter Sunday of 2006. It's a good compilation.
