As long as there more Okami it doesn't matter then if Capcom's less active on Wii besides the DS has lots of supporters. Plus Wii Audience including me don't like M Rated and Shooter i don't care if it's first or third person or even railed they all are not my type of games, seriously Capcom if you want Wii audience attention get Street Fighter 4 Wii edition and Onimusha and more Okami off course.
And yet Twilight Princess would sell better simply because of its name and familiar setting. Okami just LOOKS weird (visual style and Japanese feel, meaning the way the story and graphics play out looks like Japanese folklore and is therefore harder for western audiences to relate to), to the point where someone who knew basically nothing about either would probably get TP instead.
It's not exactly news that quality does not equal sales; just look at Earthbound, Beyond Good & Evil, most XSeed games, etc. Okami fits itself in snugly among the group of examples, unfortunately.
The resident evil ports (minus the port of Resident Evil 4) were universally declared as mediocre at best, and so was Spyborgs. Why would they expect big sales? I don't get these third parties.
"Our game didn't sell!" "Did you put a lot of effort into it?" "Yes, of course!" "Really?" "Well, yeah. Kind of" "Did you advertise it?" "Not at all." "Why?" "Meh."
And they don't get why they don't sell.

Lol that's both funny and sad...Actually that sums the attitude from 3d parties vs Wii.
I really don¡t understand that attitude from them. Is pathetic

You forgot: "The Wii isn't for this type of game" "Right, and the customers don't know what they are supposed to buy" "Well, time to go rant to IGN about how we aren't going to support the Wii" "And I need to go start work on porting Dino Crisis to the Wii" "Be sure to make it a rail shooter" "What else is there?"
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
Between all the bashing of rail shooters and the praise given to Sin & Punishment when it came to Virtual Console, I'm confused: Do you think Sin & Punishment 2 is going to be good or not? You do know that both games are rail shooters, right?
If a Time Crisis game came to the Wii (either VC Arcade or a new disc release), that is one rail shooter I would definitely get. I love how the ability to take cover works with it. Another rail shooter I'd love to see on Wii is the Star Wars Trilogy arcade game.
By the way, like I said before, Spyborgs was only critically deemed mediocre because few reviewers understand the beat-'em-up genre anymore. It bombed commercially due to those reviews, too many gamers with the same problem as those critics, and lack of advertising.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
Throughout the last couple of years capcom have only made a few good games inhouse.
SF4 Res Evil 5 Mega Man 9 Devil May Cry 4 Tatsunoko VS Capcom Monster Hunter series
All of the licensed titles have been next to useless or dont carry the capcom signature. HOTD 2 is still to this day better than any of the other onrail shooters.
They are not producing enough good inhouse titles and these third parties cant be relied on.
No wonder but if these comments are coming from capcom europe bleaugh.
Darkside Chronicles may not have sold as well in Europe in its first few weeks, but it's hardly a failure. Yet another Wii FUD article. I'd be interested to know what Capcom of America has to say. I suspect this is just a way for Capcom to say they'd like some more marketing money from Nintendo -- either that or another company executive shooting off his mouth in public to get some press...

I'm looking foward to Sin and Punishment 2 myself. I think the main reason why this title is treated differently is because of the way it plays. I've not played Sin and Punishment before, but I've seen gameplay trailers of it's sequel, and it reminds me a bit of Star Fox 64. Think about that. People want another Star Fox, but only if it's like the one for the 64 (or SNES I guess), and that one was basically just a rail shooter as well (minus the all-range mode parts and missions).
The game is on rails, but you're still given control of your character. You have to move to dodge shots, and still pop-off the enemies. Anyway, that's what I think the main difference would be. =)

-Try out my Littlebigplanet levels! =)
S&P does not play like a standard rail shooter. Most are in first-person or if they are third-person do not allow free movement, just pivoting. S&P also features flying levels (that are more like Star Fox than these light gun games) and side-scrolling levels.
I just read on a dutch forum that Capcom Europe reacted to this statement from someone from Capcom France:
"'Further to comments made in a recent article on French website Gamekult, Capcom would like to confirm its commitment as a multi-platform developer and publisher of interactive software.'"

Personally in my opinion, I think they might scale back production on Wii games. But, I do not think they are done with the Wii. Games like Monster Hunter and Tats should be enough to sell good stateside.

"Capcom has released a statement confirming its commitment to developing games on multiple platforms after its own French boss said that the compamny would be concentrating on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Complaining about the poor sales of Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, Antoine Seux told French site Gamekult: "The Wii console is very much a family commitment [and] rates relatively low. So for us, Capcom, the future is the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360."
Yet today Capcom went against Seux's comments by releasing this statement: "Further to comments made in a recent article on French website Gamekult, Capcom would like to confirm its commitment as a multi-platform developer and publisher of interactive software."
With games such as Monster Hunter Tri, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ghost Trick all being released this year, it's clear to see that Capcom is committed to developing games for Nintendo platforms. Whether they'll release any more violent games in the style of Resident Evil and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop"
Twilight Princess is basically Okami... only nowhere near as good as Okami.
Somebody, please remove this blasphemy.
That was not blasphemy. That was logical. Twilight Princess was Okami-Lite in story, characters, and gameplay. Blasphemy would be: "Twilight Princess is better than Majora's Mask," or even more blasphemous: "Twilight Princess is the best Zelda game ever.".
