This topic is for any game that has gotten a bad review and you actually gave a chance and actually liked. For example even though Plattchen Twist 'n' Paint and Redsteel got mixed reviews I actually really liked both games!

Kirby Air Ride. That game was the best.

City Trial Free Run + Friends = Experience only rivaled by Halo 3.

I didn't know Kirby Air Ride was a game that got bad reviews or maybe I read to much Ninintendo Power

I could probably name quite a few, because I don't have much confidence in the vast majority of game reviewers, but Wii Music is probably the most significant for me. One of the greatest games of this entire console generation (yes, I mean that), but reviewed terribly by most of the inept gaming press (not all reviewers scored it negatively; Nintendo Life gave it a respectable score and favorable review, as did others).

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

I sold Wii Music and now I regret it, I kind of liked it a lot and bad reviewers made me ashamed to own it!

Ghost Squad had really average reviews, but it is awesome and has tons of replay value and a bit of RPG-esque elements and a little depth. My favorite light gun shooter of all time, I remember playing it with my uncle at a Dave n Busters in California...

This is a good topic, as I always feel too persuaded by reviewers even though I know not to trust their opinions over my own... I'll be anxious to hear what people say. The only thing I can think of now (which is way more of a Nostalgia pick) is Bloody Wolf, on the VC (originally TG-16). I loved that game in elementary school, and even though it doesn't hold up today, it makes me happy.
So Wii Music's worth it, eh? I, too, have been slightly ashamed by my level of interest.... perhaps I should give it a shot.

Castlevania Judgment but I'm a Castlevania homer so it's not a real shock I liiked it.

Oh, and going WAY back into the past, for whatever reason, I couldn't get enough of Defenders of Dynatron City for the NES.

the first Nanostray, Ghost Squad (party mode = genius...4p owns), Gain Ground, Opoona, Ys 3: Wanderer's from Ys

a couple aren't Wii....all on Nintendo products though, some courtesy of VC

@WhoKnew

I liked what I could play of it...it was just over way too fast and I haven't gotten it to calibrate on months. The calibration was just abysmal in my experience.

P.N.03 for the Gamecube. It's underappreciated, but still, it's not one of my favorites.

Opoona, However, has become my second favorite Wii game, (after No More Heroes) and a lot of reviewers gave it mediocre ratings.

  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : Explorers of Time/Darkness
  • SPORE Creatures
  • Ghost Squad
  • Sonic Riders 2 : Zero Gravity

I read Ghost Squad already severel times here, which just proves how flawed the common review system already has become.

Oh yes Spore Creatures was a very good game in my opinion, really underrated, I hope Spore Hero for the Wii ends up being as good as Spore Creatures.

Gah, how could I forget Wii Music! I loved that game when I played it, it was more about making your own music rather than playing someone else's.
