@carlos27: Hi, our observation at Shin'en is that even after playing all the 100 levels many many times we still have to think again for most levels Especially in vs mode you will be challenged when you see the other just does a quicker style then you... check out the other 'Art of Balance vs Fun' thread for seeing to guys play in versus an they actually say "i played that level before" and they fail again for a couple of times
Manfred, when playing multiplayer, do you have to choose a specific world to play in or can you choose random among all worlds? Since each world is not very large, it seems like random among the 4 would be a nice option
Hi KS8... thanks for your response... I understand that they are chosen randomly for each world... what I was asking is there an option to have random puzzles from all the worlds combined? I would rather have 100 random puzzles when playing multiplayer then just choosing a world and being limited to that world of puzzles... it's nice in multiplayer games to have that option-- so that you may get an easy one from world one-- then be thrown a tough one from world 4...
I'm guessing from the video and from your comments, that this is not an option in the game. Seems like it would have been a simple option to include. I haven't had an opportunity to play multiplayer yet... and was surprised when I saw the video and it looked like they had to choose one specfic world for the multiplayer action.
@Manfred Thank you for ur response. As a suggestion for Art of Balance 2, it would be nice if every stage is timed, so you can go for a time attack against your times or friend times... that should improve replayability.
Hmmm... to be honest I like the stages not being timed. It takes the pressure off and lets you explore multiple way of stacking without being rushed. I think it works well the way it is.

@Carlos27: That's a good idea! In fact we would love todo AoB2 as there is soo much potential. We already have a list of features we would like to do for a sequel. Well, first we need to see how AoB does on WiiWare...
Hi everyone, this game really intriques me, can someone tell me how good the physics engine is, I mean that is what made World of Goo so good, is this physics engine on par with that?
Feel free to add me and contact me
Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!
people who played the game described the physics as 'top notch'. I suggest you check out the video review at WiiFolder to actually see two guys play the game and have fun with the physics.
I watched the annoying video on The Folder (the game's not annoying, the show is , and while the show hosts are annoying, it did get me to want to buy this game, so you can call that an win. Looks fun. I think I will download it. It will make a good counterpoint to Mega Man 10's tension!
Last night I did pick this game up and it's great! I hope this game is doing well for you. I'd love to see some DLC levels, or a sequel. I played for about 2 hours and had a lot of fun with it. I'm looking forward to my next chance to play it. Great game!
Lol, I watched that Folder video last night and downloaded this game too. It took me 3hrs15min to beat it, and I was a bit disappointed with how easy the first 3 worlds were. The last world was more difficult, although it often seemed difficult because of how hard it was to perfectly place shapes to maintain balance, rather than because of being able to figure out a way to balance them. The presentation is very clean and professional, but it doesn't really make the game a lot of fun like with Boom Blox or World of Goo. The only time I recall laughing in this game is when a piece fell off and hit the water simultaneous with the 3-count and it actually gave me credit for the level. I think this game would be great fun for 2 players, but playing as a single player the experience seemed pretty average to me. As for the physics, it mostly seemed natural, but there were a few times when some glitchy things seemed to be happening, like pieces twitching. Based on my experience, I'd give this game a 7/10, but I'm hoping it will be more like a 9/10 when I get a chance to play it again with a friend.
I downloaded it today and spend a good 2 hours to finish everything in the first 3 worlds. Haven't started the last world yet. So far, I'm not really impressed. Far too easy and not much variation between all the levels. After reading the review and seeing the score, I was expecting a lot more. Not that it is a bad game, certainly not, but not worth the score it did get.
It's a nice game for when you are bored and need something to fill a few minutes.
i downloaded today too,one to say:manific. Ι and my sons we spend a couple of hours very relaxing. I wish in the future the developers suprise us so much.
Just got this as well and I am really enjoying it. Just my type of puzzle game. No stress and some challenge without being too hard. Always a new challenge around the corner. And I really like to build things, for some reason. The excellent graphics and fun multiplayer certainly helps as well.
