Been trying to put it on the home page before posting it here but the site is giving me trouble. Guess I might as well link it now that you've seen it, hm?
Its pretty good. I played about 20 levels. The presentation and music are top notch. Everything has a relaxing feel to it and the controls are pretty easy to get into. So far even thought Wii Ware is crowded with puzzlers, I think this one is worth a look.
so, too easy KS8? I didn't get that from your initial impressions...
Some of the levels in the first world are quite challenging! I'm impressed with how some are easier than others, but yet you've got the 3 or 4 that will have you going "how in the heck" and then you get lucky or find the right combination and it's a nice rewarding feeling to things.
This is by far one of the better puzzles games I've played in a while. I like causal games as long as they are done well and Art of Balance is very well done. Just after the first world and all 31 levels in that, I'm hoping that this game sells well enough that we get an Art of Balance 2.
t's a fun game! It requires some thought on some of the puzzles. Skill and Luck are both a factor in the game. Coop is drop in which is awesome. The head to head is pretty great too.
Once you get all the pieces set up you have 3 lights at the bottom that need to all light up green (takes 3 seconds). You need to have your blocks at least up in the air in order for it to count. For example, everything could start coming down, but as long as you get the 3rd green light it doesn't matter.
@KnucklesSonic8: Thanks for pointing on it. We also asked ourselfs why do WiiWare game use no decent VO? Size restrictions do not apply here. There are 40Mb to spend. You can put hours of VO into that space
I want to know if there are complex levels with more than 5 or 10 or 20 pieces to stack up... or there are all the same. How much replay value this have?
Its not too complex. There were a few levels in World D that had me scratching my head. In particular 6.1 and 6.3 were pretty tough to figure out. But each level allows you to pick from 3 blocks once you have selected them it opens up more blocks. I think the max is 6 or 7. The difficulty comes when blocks have rounded edges or timer which cause them to shatter. Some levels require you to place blocsk on unstable surfaces. But overall the game is very easy to pick up and play. The difficulty does not ramp up so quick that you would become frustrated.
I think the replay value will be in the co-op mode. In addition, I hope to see more from this developer. I think they have a great concept with excellent presentation. The game just has a very relaxing feel to it. I never felt rushed or frustrated at anytime just focused on moving to the next puzzle.
I downloaded this game on Saturday and was getting through the levels fairly easily. Once the "times" pieces appeared it got a little more challenging. That being said, I see myself playing through the again as it is really relaxing.
I have really enjoyed the game but it is fairly easy and I am in the final world (4 of 4) fairly quickly... Haven't tried the multiplayer yet... wish the game was a bit longer and a bit more challenging.. overall, still a worthy purchase.
