Topic: Another King of Fighters Collection thread

There doesn't appear to be a search function for these forums so I'm going to have to start a new one for this.

I remember seeing quite a few threads speculating where the King of Fighters Collection was for the PAL Wii. Well we got an answer that it'd be out in the next few weeks - this was several months ago now. Someone here said that they knew someone (from Ignition maybe?) who knew what the situation was (distributer problems I believe).

Anyway since there's still no sign of it and I'm completely desperate to get my hands on it, any news of where the hell it is? If not would the person in question possibly be able to find out?

I've passed on the query and I'll relay any response that comes back. All I can tell you is that it's available from continental retailers if you're really desperate, and other than having languages besides English on the box, they should work fine on your UK Wii.

I had it but sold it.

All good ports and upscaled.

The FIGHT announcement in KOF 98 is cut short and KOF 95 has some sound cutoffs when overlapping.

I got mine of ebay and although it ran fine and was packaged welll, Ignition told me that they have no uk distributor so im not sure how i scored it.

Thanks for the info Sean Aaron. I'll hold off from buying a foreign copy for the time being until we get an answer but good to know I'll still be able to get my hands on it either way

A bump to see if there's any news on this yet? I've heard it may be finally getting a release in early March - but then I've heard a ton of release dates over the past year.

Also these forums really need a search function! Took ages to find this thread and I didn't want to start yet another new one. Also tags to see which ones you've posted in ... but, yeah, I'll leave that for another thread.

This is a real shame. I've held off as well waiting for a UK release. Oh well, I still have the Dreamcast Imports...

I really don't get what the big deal is about importing from France or Germany -- not like the in-game menus would be in French or German on a PAL Wii set to UK!

It aint a big deal so much (I have all the games on other formats), its just a shame that average Wii owning punters in the UK will probably never know this exists.

It's not a problem - I'm going to do that after March if it's not released. I'd like it to be released in the UK, though, so we also get the future SNK Arcade Classic Collections and any other lovely compilations they plan on doing. They will obviously have a warehouse full of UK versions somewhere just waiting to hit the shelves - I'm sure they'll want it released as much as anyone and make that money back.

Yeah, I really don't know what the specifics are, but clearly their PR guy isn't keen to discuss it!

Copies of SNK arcade classics all over the place in HMV. No ones buying them. Makes it look like a warehouse clearance.

I emailed Ignition myself last year and I will say it again. They have no UK distributor so you either get the other european versions which are english or you wont get it.

Kof on xbox would have most likely been released with the direct involvement of SNK.
