Disc storage space has nothing to do with it. The Wii can hold as many hi-def textures as the 360 can since they use the same media (DVD). The problem is the RAM - you need a lot more RAM to load those textures in and display them in the game.
Of course that doesn't mean it can't be done - it's good programming and space management on the system itself that's needed. You'll find some games with great high-detailed textures, others with terribly blocky ones. Depends on if developers put the effort in really.
I have an idea: be happy!!!!!! Let's not push for the Wii to be like the PS3
No one said we're pushing that, discussing ideas of how to make the wii's graphics better with the hardware it COMES with, is not saying lets upgrade to 1080p or steal ps3 parts, its just saying how can we push the limits of the wii and make the games graphics, a i, and overall game performance/quality better
