@ElRoberico Haven't gotten it yet, was going to when I get my tax refund in the next week or two. However, I was planning on buying small amounts of games every week until the shop closes, I don't plan on getting too much since I was going to transfer my Wii library over, mostly just the N64, GBA, DS, and Wii stuff interest me.
I've made a lot of Wii U purchases since they announced the closure.
There's still a bunch I'd like to get.
-Pandora's Tower
-Kirby Wii
-A Shadows Tale
-Metroid Prime Trilogy
-Metroid Fusion
-Metroid Zero Mission
-Dr Luigi
-Starfox Guard
-Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon
Suppose you recently discovered the Wii U eShop. The Wii shop is gone. The Switch doesn't really do VC, and the Switch Online selection is poor. What VC titles would you panic-buy for your Wii U knowing this is your last chance?
@cwong15 Wii U exclusives my man. Xenoblade Chronicles X. Smash Bros for Wii U. Star Fox Zero. Nintendo Land. Yoshi’s Wooly World. Kirby And The Rainbow Curse. And who could forget The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD. Some decent selection there. Virtual console titles not on the switch. Wii u has DS games and turbografix I believe. New Super Mario Bros. Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon. Mario And Luigi Partners in time. Hell, they put Pokémon mystery dungeon games on there for goodness sake. And any NES, SNES, Sega console games, N64 and Game Boy Advance games that aren’t going to be on the switch. That haven’t been revealed. There’s even Wii games for purchase!!! Metroid Prime Trilogy. Why wait for 2 and 3? Grab em now! Mario Galaxy 1 and 2! Donkey Kong Country Returns! Pikmin 1 and 2! Even Pikmin 3 if you don’t have it for the switch if you like. New Super Mario Bros Wii! Super Paper Mario! Punch Out Wii! Mario Strikers Charged and Mario Sports Mix! I’m just scratching the surface here.
The Wii U Virtual Console library is the biggest in history. Take advantage my friends. My Wii U broke 6 years ago, but all still have a chance to go on a Wii u binge!
Wait, why do we need a Sigurd? I mean signature, jeez.
Also, the switch online retro selection doesn’t suck. Give it a go. Surprisingly, getting a basic tier or even expansion tier for retro titles and getting them all at once is easier than buying them all for hundreds individually. Trust me. I used 3ds and Wii U VC. It’s not a good deal in comparison.
In two console generations time, y’all are gonna miss the subscription service when Nintendo and everyone else rolls out a worse version of both NSO and VC.
@cwong15 If you like Fire Emblem and haven't played Shadow Dragon before it's worth getting that on VC as it's very expensive on DS. Same goes for the two GBA Fire Emblems if you don't have any intention of subscribing to Switch Online's expansion tier.
If anyone's interested, these are the Wii U VC games I've bought recently or intend to buy very soon. Obviously I can't yet tell you how good they are firsthand but they're all well-regarded games that aren't on Switch in any form:
Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise (Rhythm Heaven Fever)
Kirby Mass Attack
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Drill Dozer
Klonoa: Empire of Dreams
Ogre Battle 64
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
