Meh, only gamers I talk to are pretty stuck on 360 and/or PS3. Despite multiplat titles like Black Ops 2, Assassins Creed 3, and Darksiders 2 being on it, and Zombie U as an exclusive bonus they're adamant on playing on those other consoles.
Don't get me wrong, seeing these full on games with extra features on a Nintendo console gives me hope that there's be more to come, Wii U is really trying to cater to the "hardcore" market. So far alot of large companies are way on board, now just need to convince Bethesda and Valve (Far cry I know) the same but at least it's better than what the Wii had.
Alot seems to have changed since the Wii. Back then they said "I don't want a Wii, it doesn't get the same games as the PS3/360". These days it's "I don't want a Wii U, it only has the same games as the PS3/360".
I would much rather play a game on a console I already own then play the same game on a console I don't own with a silly controller.
where can I get wonderful 101? I know Bayonetta 2 is on PS360 already
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...

Hahaha, nice
I would say 'QFT' but then a bunch of nintendo fanboys would run in and start listing all its amazing exclusive games like NSMB... or wonderful 101 something...

Well i'm not really saying that the Wii/Wii U doesn't have any good exclusives, i'm just pointing out what most people outside of Nintendo fans saying about the systems then and now.
My sister doesn't care for it...but I'm VERY excited. AC III and BO2 are the games I'm lookin' out for.
I really want to hear more about the Wii U's online.
If I wasn't buried with some bills or having to leave for a couple weeks near Thanksgiving, I'd probably of preordered the black one by now with at least one game (NSMBU).
Seeing a strong third party support has piqued my interest, used to own a Wii but after brawl my interest fizzled out and turned to my 360/PS3 for the majority of my gaming. Granted, my Wii is long gone so I haven't had the chance to fully play NSMBWii or Skyward Sword, but I can rectify that if I get this console.
I might be the minority on owning a WiiU, but knowing the other new consoles are way far off for at least a year I'm not too worried about owning another Nintendo console that's seemingly capable of handling exact ports for future multiplat titles.
but i have 2 main buddies that i hang out with one still has a gc and never even got another console after that o_o so maybe he will get the wii u but when i talked to both before the press event they were sure or thought it was some weird new update with a controller.. the other is more of a xbox 360 and COD type guy so guess im alone in trying to get the WII U
even im not sure if i will get it due to low on cash

i stopped playing mario kart now and moved on to luigis mansion :P
I asked all my buddies and their responses were as follows: 1)"why does a controller cost so damn much?!" Followed by 2)"oh. Well we can already play BLOPS on Raymond's 360 anyway". My friends need to become more open minded.

So 99% of the general population thinks that the Wii U is a new controller for the Wii. What should Nintendo have done differently to ensure that people didn't make this mistake? I think at least part of the problem is that Nintendo of America avoids technical details like the plague. By babying their audience, they keep everything so vague that the average person can't tell what they are announcing (a new console or just a new controller). Nintendo needs to educate, not talk down to people.
My friends are afraid a Wii U will make me a target leaving the store. They suggest it would be safer to buy a PS3, since no one will be fighting over those this Christmas.
