Topic: What would you expect from Kid Icarus U?

Well didn't Sakurai say that KI:U was sort of a one-off, and that he had no plans to create a sequel?

But, if he did, the Wii U would be the perfect system for it!

I agree. Wii U WOULD be a great system, with HD, touchscreen, and 2 screens.

Sakurai has went back on his claims before IIRC (Melee wasn't supposed to have a sequel or something), Nintendo never thought there would be a Kid Icarus sequel (WarioWare: Twisted), and even if Sakurai doesn't work on it, there were several other people on the team that may want to see a sequel some day.

Rather then a direct sequel (since so many people are pissy over that) I think there should be some more exploration of other characters for the.most part. First on my mind would be Magnus and Gaol because they basically throw the story away.

"Gaol and Magnus were friends. Magnus lost a child. Oh, and Gaol is a woman who you just murdered. Bye."

Other characters could be explored, for the most part I'd like to see what happened 24-2 years ago.

Don't have a 3DS so haven't played Uprising but I would love a Wii U Kid Icarus. Hopefully UPrising has been good seller so Nintendo won't forget about it for a while again.

I know that, I played the entire game lol. I'm just being very, VERY slightly hyperbolic about the pacing of the character development.

Kid Icarus is probably ruined for me. Just like Metroid.

I loved the 2D Metroid games, but ever since those Prime games came out, that's all anybody wants. "I want to walk around slowly and spend half an hour scanning everything in one room." Ruined the Metroid series. Then a decent game like Other M comes out (that's right, I called it decent) and all anyone can do is cry non-stop about it because it's not walking around slowly, scanning everything.

Same thing with Kid Icarus. Uprising is nothing at all what I love about the original games. So now if they make another Kid Icarus game, it has to be like uprising or else everyone will cry nonstop.

Well, you could just be like everyone else and talk down to me for having a different opinion and not liking the Prime series as much. And by "everyone else" I don't mean on this site, I mean on the internet in general, as that's usually the response I get.

although I can't agree with you about prime because I loved it I also loved the 2d metroids too, I can agree about Kid Icarus I much rather the old school one uprising was good just not for me

You know what would be interesting is if they made it a 2D game again... but added some elements from KIU, like different weapons with different mods.
