@pikminfan22: I've been keeping count, we're up to 10! My brother wants to play, too! The only person I'm not 100% sure about wanting to play is @TheXReturns. He said something about playing Smash, but not Mario Kart. I just included him just in case.
As of now, we have: Me, my brother, Pikminfan22, Crimson, Jazzer, OorWullie, Kinan, Eli, Disco, and possibly XReturns. If anyone else wants to join our future Mario Kart races, just @ me!
@pikminfan22: Sure! I would like to do some normal races too, though. What I want is no fire-hopping or jump drifting, as some people call it. I find Mario Kart 8 much more fun when no one does that. We can have some intense races, and then some goofy ones, too! I'll be up for some this weekend, so that's probably when this Mario Kart session will happen; hope that works for everyone! We'll discuss a time when the weekend gets closer.
@pikminfan22: Jump drifting and Flame hopping are the same thing. Just to confirm, I don't want anyone doing this:
Normal drifting around corners is completely okay, but not doing it for some races in 200cc would be fun, though!
I'm surprised you find Mario Kart is relaxing... It stresses me out so much, but it's so fun at the same time! XD lol So it would be nice to do some non-stressful races, like the bomb-ombs only, can't wait for this weekend!
@DiscoGentleman: I wish! Unfortunately, I think it was only patched in 200cc... the one mode that doesn't really use it. I could be wrong, but someone else here on Nintendolife told me that, so I assume they're right.
@DiscoGentleman: I've tried doing it, and can, but I never feel like I "truly" won afterwards if I used it. Luckily, I use a bike, so I won't do it either; in fact, I never have online, and don't plan to ever. Hopefully no one else will! They should just patch it, I hope they do someday.
Back to Splatoon, I can't believe the newest weapon has the Kraken! There are TOO MANY KRAKENS! At least I think so.
@ELI-ASH: Agreed! I think it's the best special in the game, and it's the most common one. Right when you're about to splat someone, you know exactly what is going to happen; ruins part of the strategy part of the game, which is a shame.
@Blue_Blur: I'm totally up for MK8 races. I haven't really played that game for a while, though...
And while we're at it, anyone want to play some Smash sometime? Even if that game stresses me out really fast, it's still fun playing with others.
Hm... I just realized the estimated date for the MK8 session... Thing is, I have this essay I have to turn in on Monday, so... But I'll try to get the bulk of the work done tomorrow so I have some free time to play with you guys.
@Blue_Blur I'd be up for MK8 races as well if I'm not busy when you guys play, we'll just have to remember to use the MK8 thread when that happens.
It's a shame I won't be able to play Splatoon as often as I used to since I can't use the TV on week days which is most of the week. Though I guess it's for the best since I have been pretty slow at finishing my homework lately due to playing it everyday lol.
