The amiibo search hell is over, got the Inkling Boy and Girl amiibo ordered in from Amazon and there's a squid restock on the Nintendo UK Online Store. I can now finally play the full version of Splatoon soon rather than the content reduced version!

I'm within reach of S Rank. I'm at A+ rank, 78 points, I would have continued, but I started to lose, so I cut my losses.

Coupla Rainmaker Games should win me through. Then I can squad all I like, with no fear of losing points!!!

Might actually make it before the week is out. I'm not coming last in any matches, so I know I am at least deserving of the rank. (Barring Hammerhead Bridge TC or Saltspray Rig SZ. I just can't seem to win on those...)

Also, congrats @GrumbleVolcano. I debated buying the inkling girl to improve my Charger skills, but I don't think I'll ever be decent at chargering. Meh. Enjoy.

@Kinan: It's not made of plastic. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it's sturdier than plastic. Much higher quality than the Smash ones.

@Kinan: And a high quality figure. And a music player. And Kraken time trial missions.
It certainly isn't getting cheaper. But suit yourself.

@whodatninja: I'm pretty sure amiibo are made of plastic, probably some kind of plastic polymer, PVC would be my guess. There's all kinds of different types of plastic, some are sturdier than others... It's the Splatoon thread, why am I even talking about plastic..?

I just really don't like the concept of not buying able to play the full game, that's why I buy the Smash DLC bundles instead of cherry picking stages/characters. I do have limits like I don't buy weapon skins for shooters like CoD and GoW but for this it's actual lost single player content with extras. Anyway now that I know I'll have access to all the content, I can actually properly enjoy this game though it would be nice if they improved the map rotation. Rainmaker is fun from what I've played so far and I'm glad the music selection is much more random.

If this is real I'd probably buy the amiibo.

Edit: Though I think its fake because the rendering style is a bit different.

@Jazzer94: good point. Plus i don't think Nintendo will use any established IP in Splatoon. It doesnt "fit the narrative" as it were

Am I right in saying there is still 4 more maps to come?I'm sure I read that before?If so I think we'll at least see one of them after the Direct if not the normal update time at the weekend.I'd say it's inevitable we're going to be told about more though.I wonder what it'll be? A new ranked mode would be great and I'll happily pay for a new single player campaign.Hopefully they'll finally add another map into the rotation too,would make a huge difference.
