Topic: Splatoon - OT

@jariw: Can you change teams? I thought there was no going back. Anyone, I'm rooting for Team Ghosts too, and I'm not even a European. I would have thought that zombies would be more popular, what with the zombie apocalypse craze that's flooding the media. Is that just an American thing, or what?

@Nicolai: I think jariw means exiting back to the lobby, then joining with a new group of people on the same team.

I'm also with Team Ghosts, while being surprised at the lack of zombie support since zombies seemed to be so popular in films at the moment.

So, what's everyone's reason for picking Ghosts? I never liked the really gory and scary, so I was never into zombie films or movies, and ghosts are more mysterious (and sometimes friendly ). Or maybe it's from watching Danny Phantom as a kid, lol.

Yes, that's what I meant. Don't keep playing numerous matches with team members you aren't compatible with, but always stay with a team where you work well together to keep a good winning streak.

Ghosts look more like squids.

Progress has been 50/50 so far. Though some losses were against other fellow Ghost supporters so idk.
EDIT: And right as I say that, we beat a zombie team 72 to 8.

Even though I live in NA, I'm still on Team Ghost's side for that exact same reason. I remember watching Danny Phantom too, it was a pretty good show!

I wasn't sure what side to pick when I first heard about this Splatfest, but decided on ghosts when watching Callie and Marie announced it since I preferred Marie's arguments.

Regret picking ghosts now -_-.

@Jazzer94: Looking at previous Splatfest results, it seems the general rule of thumb is: "If it's Marie's side, brace yourself for a loss."

It's one of those shows I thought was so stupid, but really like watching anyway for reasons I couldn't explain, even to myself. I guess I thought Danny's ghost powers were cool, which they are. Who wouldn't want white hair, fly around, and go through walls?

I was kinda bored, so I decided to do some turf wars with the Heavy Splatling. I never really liked this weapon since it released, but after trying it out for a while, I actually really like it! I used the Deco, and the point sensor helps a lot. I might use this as one of my main weapons, now. But nothing beats my Sloshers!

I can see this weapon doing really well in Splat Zones, might have to try it out sometime.

@pikminfan22: The Splash Wall is great for SZ! I feel like it would be a really hard weapon to use in TC, though. Constantly moving with the Tower would make charging quickly real difficult. Rainmaker would be okay, but I'd prefer other weapons before it, like my Slosher.

Something seems wrong when I'm playing this Splatfest. Every time so far when I have been up against Zombies in Skatepark, one of my fellow Ghosts always disconnects. This has happened 3 times now, making it a near impossible 3 vs 4 battle. It might just be a fluke, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

Edit: Looks like this was just a fluke. I've now done a fair few matches in that area without that happening. Still, it did feel like an usually high number of people disconnecting earlier when I originally posted this.

I did keep switching. I encountered a few good players, but some awful ones as well. I think Ghosts might be heading for a loss... They really need to fix the system. It didn't work well when it was no multipliers, and it doesn't work well now. Even a very small increase in points for Same Team matches would be better. Even only +0.1. Else it's too badly biased in favour of the less popular. It should be biased to the less popular side, but not overly biased,

I have to be fighting against young kids cause the amount of people who die trying to run past my CJS on Triggerfish is getting ridiculous.

I'm about to start the splatfest, I chose ghosts but I have a feeling zombies may get the more wins! Any thoughts guy's?

I know Splatfest is going on in the UK right now, (Go Ghosts!) but would anyone not participating in Splatfest like to do any squad battles?
Or if some of you guys are tired of Splatfest, private battles are also available.
