@BakaKnight: Is that really your jersey? That's funny, because I didn't order it from Spyke, I just leveled it up like normal. What a coincidence! That outfit is my uneven-amount-of-players-in-private-battles-outfit. Quick respawn comes in handy!
With shoes, what would you say is the most important ability?
I'd say Ink Resistance, simply because I've got so used to playing with it, when I tried swim speed up shoes instead, I kept getting caught in the opponent's ink...
Edit: I'll be on in 2 hours, right for the start of Rainmaker. If I'm awake, and have nothing else to do, I'm always on when it's Rainmaker, cause it's the one I get more wins than losses on.
Double Edit: Yeah, us Krak-on Rollers got reaaaally badly nerfed. They're still playable, just have much more of a niche, as a surprise attacker. Mind you, you can still get kills with Kraken. Even four in a row, all lined up, like I proved earlier. It was beautiful.
There's a sweet spot, between about one third and two thirds of the way across.
If this is a roller: (Vanilla)
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Then this is the bit you can use for OHKO at short range:
IIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIII
It gets smaller as they get farther away. It's smaller still for Carbon, and a bit bigger for Dynamo.
It's all about accuracy, and surprise. I've been working on jumping out of a wall to kill them. It works surprisingly well.
You can still roll them over for a OHKO, tho.
It's a bit smaller than that, but you get the idea.
Huh, I've never seen that Retro Gamer Jersey before. Thank you RNG.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@TheXReturns: Yeah, but the disadvantage is still there. since a roller's attack takes some time to charge, it's way easier to escape a roller's OHKO box.
Also, imo, rolling over someone never worked in the higher ranks. Everyone is so vigilant, and never get surprised when a roller comes on screen about to casually walk into them. They always see you and jump out of the way.
...Any chance I could start playing with you guys later on down the road?
I just started Splatoon today and I know that I have a lot of catch-up to do....
Once a LuigiMan, now a Dreamy representation of the Goddess of Nature.
Retired Palutena Gem Provider. Mario Maker Levels
Once you get to Level 20, and have access to all the weapons, you'll have basically caught up with most of the Splatooners (Splatoonists?)
And, yeah. That's why I'm trying to learn the Wall Kill. It's surprisingly effective, as people don't tend to shoot at the walls, so you can use them as a floor that no-one shoots at.
Fair enough. It's just that I felt like I'm way behind on things. My first time in the lobby was near perfect but then I went out to buy stuff and went back in where I was welcomed by Lv. 50s... I just started! I'm not even in the double-digit levels yet...
@DreamyViridi: Sure! We could even do private battles for a while in the next rotation, if you want. Once you reach level 10, you'll be able to play ranked battles. Playing ranked battles with squads, or partners, is a lot of fun! Whenever you want to do a squad, just ask, and usually someone on this site will join you! Splatoon is SO much fun!
WARNING: Once you start playing, it's almost impossible to stop for a long time.
