@Morpheel: That seems to happen at least once a week lol. Nothing for this game surprises me anymore. I think Nintendo should milk it for as long as they can.
@Morpheel It might be the one that's back a page or 2 posted by Undead. Not sure what to believe though.
FWIW, NWPlayer123 (Nikki) has been data mining Splatoon since June, so if it's just "a leak" Morpheel is talking about I don't know what that would be about. NWPlayer123 has revealed future weapons, gear, Hammerhead Bridge, Moray Towers, Flounder Heights, etc ahead of time. NWPlayer123 has also speculated a lot lately regarding the kind of data that has been found and what it might be used for in the future.
@Morpheel: A lot of people are talking about 3 more amiibo coming, according to that source (Nikki), as well as more details regarding the playable Octolings.
However I just checked and I get the same result from trying out multiplayer on my PS3. I can go on Netflix, I can download games, go on the online store, go on Miiverse, but when I have to play games with other people online it won't allow it. I don't know even know if connecting via Ethernet cables will fix this.
Now I'm curious if it's the router or if it's the online server on the college that's the problem. I hope it's not the latter.
@whodatninja: my MO is to always check amazon reviews. You often get what you pay for. Don't buy the cheapest thing, but also be weary of the most expensive thing.
About Splatoon and Wired Ethernet, should you always go for a known brand USB adapter or can you settle for whichever cheap one from China?
In the past discussions about LAN adapters I've read, it seems to be a bit random if 3rd party adapter works well or not. You might want to read the user impressions at sites like Amazon to find out if a model seems to work or not. Regarding the official LAN adapter, please note that you can order it from anywhere in the world, if it's too expensive or out of stock in your country.
Yeah that's probably smartest, getting a decently priced LAN adapter. Though the official Nintendo one is really expensive, like 45 dollars. I'd rather buy a cheaper one I can use on all devices.
