I tried playing rank today and I was just plagued by connection errors. I ended up losing 24 points off of my rank. I'll give the game another shot tomorrow but if it keeps giving me trouble then I won't be trying Rainmaker when it comes out.

Do you guys think Nintendo may plan on adding future modes or features to Splatoon after Rainmaker, or do you think Rainmaker will be the last one?

I think Nintendo will continue to add new things to Splatoon since it's a very popular game. They don't want people to lose interest, and adding new modes is a great way to keep people interested in the game. I hope they add more stages, too.

So... I think most people, I included, would agree that Splatoon has an awesome soundtrack. With the recent update giving us even more great songs, I think it's safe to say we should expect more songs in the future. So my question is this: What's your favorite Splatoon music? Honorable mentions go to Gusher Gauntlet, Booyah Base (preferably Crusty Sean's version) and Octoling Battle.
Truth be told, Honorable mention goes to almost every song in the game. They're just really good!

Gusher Gauntlet and the Shop Music are my two favorite. I can't get enough of those two.

The nice thing about Rainmaker mode that I noticed: if your team gets a knockout win, you get a bonus 5000p. Excellent for leveling up.

This is the amount of points you get for a knockout win when at S rank and I believe footage had the player possessing an S rank. Certainly a perk of getting to such high ranks but keeping S can be hard due to the amount of points a win nets and the amount of points a loss takes.

Of course during squad battles you will not lose or gain any points if you are at S rank (except if you disconnect).

I don't like Splatoon's soundtrack. It's very, very generic. There's no Nintendo charm to it. No one is going to remember songs from Splatoon years from now like they remember The Legend of Zelda Theme or the Super Mario Bros World 1-1 Theme.

Disagreed, but you're allowed to your opinion. The Splatoon soundtrack is modern and "fresh" which is what Splatoon is all about.

Yeah I agree, I also feel that the Splatoon soundtrack perfectly matches the game.

Woo, I'm excited for rain maker. I've purposely been avoiding most information about it so that it'll all be a suprise when I finally play it. Turf wars, splat zones and tower control all play quite differently to each other and require different tactics to succeed, so I can't wait to see how rain maker varies from the current modes.

The Deer Club has a bond harder than deer crackers.

First stages in Rain Maker will be Kelp Dome and Camp Triggerfish.

Cool, thanks. Out of those stages, I love Kelp Dome, though I don't care for Camp Triggerfish that much.

@TylerTheCreator: Well, maybe it won't be as memorable as some songs, Splatoon's soundtrack is very creative and awesome. It's like nothing I've ever heard. But that's just me, though.

From the moment that I realized that additional music would be added throughout the upcoming weeks/months, I have dreamed of another shop opening up in Inkopolis that would basically be a record store. Nintendo dropping a surprise update, flooding the game with like 20 different tracks, available to purchase a selection of two or three day after day, would be too much excitement for me to contain and would definitely keep the game fresh for an even longer period of time.

Kelp dome and Camp Triggerfish? Woo hoo.

Any word on modifications to the levels for rainmaker? I was trying to recall if there's any way out over the walls in kelp dome, but I don't think there are. I'm guessing there will be platforms in CT, and the walls down. I'll recon both anyway before jumping in.

Really figured they would start w/ the warehouse to get people used to the mode, really surprised, and glad, they aren't. Not even Port Mackeral, it's lager brethren. Guess I'll be up late tonight.

Thanks for the heads up, can plan my weapon and gear now.

Oh man, just watched the vid, didn't even know about the force field exploding w/ your teams color. Somebody needs to make some slow mo vids of that w/ apropos music. Also didn't know it was a combo bazooka inkstrike weapon, just though tit was the usual bazooka w/ it's height limitations, easy to hid eunder on Moray Tower or Camp Triggerfish. This thing is a moving wall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A3StwJgqt0
