I think it's strange how the matchmaking system will lower your points (gained or lost) when you vs teams with a higher rank average than yours, but doesn't even try to separate the higher ranked (e.g. 6 B+ and 2 A+, separate the A+). In fact, it tends to do just the opposite.
Might be hard to separate teams based on ranks, not sure how many will be using that feature and with too many restrictions it will just increase the time it takes to make a match.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.

I was playing turf wars with a friend for about an hour today and it was pretty fair for the most part. 75% of the time we were the only 20's and were on separate teams but one time it put us with one other 20 on the same team and we crushed them. My point was even though I was the host for half that time we rarely seen many 20's show up.

Well I just finished having the most one-sided turf war ever. It was 3 vs 0 within the first minute of the match. Pretty much this is how it looked after
The annoying part is I was the only one inking the whole area while my 2 roller teammates camp at the enemy spawn point for most of the match. I would figure they would know no bad guys were in the game when I keep using echolocator. No harm I guess.

We will just have to wait and see how many people actually could hold out till the big update like so many said they would. I have a feeling more then half couldn't wait that long. I'm not sure I see it passing Super Luigi U but 2 million I've said all along.
Since the 1.62M units was until June 30th (1 month and 3 days of sales), I don't think it's that difficult for Splatoon to get those 600,000 units to exceed New Super Luigi U. (According to Media Create, the sales figures for Splatoon actually went up the past week in Japan, BTW.)
@iphys: I would say your probably right but it does appear the other team inked some areas other then their spawn but its hard to tell even blown up but appears to be green.
@jariw I certainly hope I'm wrong and it sells well all the way through the end of the year. If Nintendo keeps pushing it it will most likely continue to do well.

I'm giving Splatoon a break for a while. I was too caught up in trying to increase my rank in ranked mode that I was no longer playing the game to have fun. Once the big update hits, I'll be back, and I'm not going to worry about what my ranking is any more. Instead, my top priority will be enjoying myself.
@crimsontadpoles: I always enjoy myself even when I lost 130 points and almost dropped to B-. Sure bad teammates can bring you down but I wasn't playing good enough to overcome that. I'm learning I can also help them out if I play a certain way.

I played for just over an hour today absolutely no problems. It's the same day one for me as it has been up to this point. Now splatfests are different stories as I've seen the most problems there.

@DiscoGentleman: I find it more absurd that people are claiming to have so many problems. I've had issues with players getting disconnected before, but it doesn't happen when I play nearly as often as it apparently does for other people. It only happened once the last time I played.
