@Nicolai: I think its because there are so many players in S. I know there's supposed to be this thing called S+, but generally you're playing with players just barely above the A+ line and the best players in the world. The tip-top will be in S+, but the skill disparity in S is huge. Not to mention you get S+ players sometimes anyway.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@MasterWario: That makes a lot of sense. There was a series of about 7 games where the team that won was always the one S+ player, who was way too good at his E-liter 3K. Then there were times when I would win, but I felt it was largely because the opposing team wasn't doing very good, or we had someone who was carrying our whole team.
It's still really intense, though. I can hardly keep up most of the time.
@Nicolai: I have the same issue. It's crazy because I might play the worst on the team in all these S matches (sometimes I don't even get to do anything), and then I drop down to A+ and I get right back in with 3 straight wins. Now there was definitely some luck in that (I got good teammates after all), but every time I've dropped down to A+ so far, I get back to S within 10 games.
And yes, those S+ players can be ridiculous!
@yokokazuo: Again with the least popular team winning. Splatfest is a weird occurrence.
Also I have to wonder...what does a perfect mind even mean?

anyone else still having disconnects? Spent five matches in a row getting them at various stages of the match, which after all those of yesterday nearly made me throw the game away. that's utter nonsense, I've always had the odd error occur from time to time, but this frequent is hardly tolerable.
I'm in now but all alone in the lobby with no way to back out.The countdown clock keeps resetting.Looks like I'm going to need to pull the power out the back!
I had that a few times, in the night during Splatfest or when you hit join/continue right before the news are supposed to come and then you're stuck in the lobby while no one joins the game because they are seeing the news or already have seen them and are now in a different lobby (with different maps). Eventually it will send you back to the plaza, but it just takes too long.
When I saw the EU Splatfest theme, I wanted to choose Ninja, but after seeing how the question is asked exactly, I'm not sure if "playing like a barbarian" isn't more fitting.
@Nicolai I had this a lot when I was B+/A-, I was stuck in there forever. It is kind of similar in S too. Right now I tend to have even matches going up and down, but when I do rank down to A+, it is usually very easy to quickly get back into S.
That's what my experience has been like in the past months. Although Xenoblade and other things disrupted my daily playing process a bit, too. Even after reaching A, I even ranked down back to B+ once and since then I'm stuck at A- for quite some time. But now that I'm playing more frequently again, I'm very close to reaching A again. Hopefully the journey continues.
I've also fell out 4 times now and other then once where I almost fell to A it's been fairly easy to get back. So yes, I feel like I'm better then A+ but Not quite a good enough S player to move any further. I'm quite surprised there isn't an S- tbh.
Yeah for quite a long time I thought there would be an S- rank, until I reached A and played more frequently against S players and realized that there is no S. ^^
Also, I think for every rank that I reached, I fell down like 3 times (and got back up again). The ranking-up-again part was always easier than before and went pretty quickly everytime, so sometimes I also felt like I'm to good for one rank but not good enough for the next rank.

Interesting, I didn't know that. All the more reason for an S- rank.
@TingLz: B players are definitely not as good as A players. Everytime I fell down from A- to B+, there was a noticeable drop of quality/competence. Sometimes I even spot the differences between the Minus, Neutral and Plus ranks (but of course not always, since your current rank doesn't have to represent your potential).
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
