Friday can't come faster! This is the first (sadly will probably be the only) game I pre-ordered since I got my WiiU for Christmas.
I was hoping there'd be more games that I preordered, but not a lot came out since then that grabbed my attention.
This one, however, certainly did and I'm beyond stoked.
@Spoony_Tech So be grateful that Nintendo gave Atlus the freedom to make this great game. If they didn't give any freedom, the game would've been different and it would end up being 90% FE and 10% Megami.
@Pahvi It's just the fighting mechanics that makes it a Warrior's game. Other then that the locations, enemies, and a Majority of the characters are all Zelda down to the weapons for the most part. If you want to go the route you're asking then I would say it's 75% Zelda and that's coming from someone that wasn't all that excited to play Hyrule Warrior's at the beginning. Now I think it's quite a good game!
Edit: Oh so that's what you're looking for. Yes there's heart pieces and treasure chest that you open just like Zelda. Even the big bosses are defeated in the same ways as Zelda. There's definitely a lot of Zelda there and way more then you're thinking. You even need to find the Gold Spiders in every map area of the main game.
Wait, so there 6 pieces of DLC, but the Fortissimo edition only has 5? Well, guess I cant avoid buying DLC after all. Those "support quests" better be good!
Bit the bullet and pre-ordered. I know if I didn't, it'd disappear entirely...and I ain't buyin' any Wii U retail games digitally. Especially Atlus ones. Those always belong on my shelf, except when they're in my console disk trays.
Nice to know the game is getting good reviews! It will be great to sink hours in a good JRPG.... Once I finally manage to move on from XCX.
Still, I'll pick up my preorder tomorrow. I really don't want to miss out if the game has a limited run.
Got the Fortissimo edition today.
Its too late to play now, so I just watchedthe intro and moved around a bit, looks good!
Will start for real tomorrow.
Oh, man! I love this battle system. And it's a shame they didn't translate the battle speak. As a Japanese speaker, I'm fine, but for the others, I feel like they're missing out on a little extra characterization.
Still, awesome battle system.
I hate it when they leave those untranslated. It's rare these days, but they usually add a necessary bit of color, IMO.
Still sad it wasn't dubbed. I would love to play this but it becomes harder to without the dub. Maybe when it is on sale and I have some time, I will pick it up
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
