I wonder what the 2 new game modes are for the February DLC. I'm hoping one will be a multiplayer VS mode, but I'm not expecting too much for DLC that's normally priced at $2.99.

A boss rush mode is most likely, considering that the DLC is titled "Boss Pack."

So what's the maximum of hearts each character can get without the DLC?
There's two rows of 15 hearts, making for a total of 30 hearts for each character, it seemed.
Until Master Quest DLC came along with new heart pieces/containers for old characters on the new Adventure Map.
As I'm trying to complete the game, I'll post my findings.
I think it took me about 4-5 minutes to win the only one I've done so far. (This was a level 9 challenge with Zelda - and I only barely managed to catch the last Icy Big Poes from the other side of the keep with the special attack. ) No co-op can make this easier either, since at least this one was single-player only.
Oh my god, that challenge. I seriously cannot get it done. Just feels like no matter what I am simply not fast enough to get to the places I need to be in time. I'm hoping there are other ways of working to that corner of the map because I just don't see that one happening for me.

Just a reminder, you have until the 23rd to register Hyrule Warriors on Club Nintendo. After that, you'll miss the DLC offer.

Do you guys think they'll offer the Club Nintendo DLC as a purchase? I went to EB Games today and the only copy they had was reserved for a preorder, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to get it by the 23rd.
They seriously won't let you buy that copy? Gamestop is essentially the store here in the States and I know for a fact they will only hold pre-order games for like 2 to 3 days then alone a month. It's obvious that person got it somewhere else or didn't want it. I would call and ask for manager and let them know you are willing to buy it now. They can't sit on it forever else It's a lay-away and not pre-order. The other person will get their 5$ back and they can tell them we only hold it for so long.
@SavoirFaire: What did she refer to? (Sidenote: I already feel stupid for not knowing what she was referring to, as chances are I'm much older than her.)
So it seems when I bought Hyrule warriors at my shop (I did order it), it seems I had to get a Skyward sword costume code (the nicest costumes from the 3 packs, in my opinion). But I didn't get it for some reason! This week I get Bayonetta 1 and 2 at the same shop. Hopefully I can still get that code, but I won't hold my breath.
On a sidenote: Don't you guys think that the "Running challenge" on the challenge page looks a bit lonely? Why is there only one challenge? Do you guys think they will add more in the future, as DLC? Not that I am short on content though. There's lots of content!
Some advice that may or may not be helpful... Do remember that your character starts sprinting right after the dodge roll instead of walking around for a bit. Consider killing Bulblins along the way (without stopping) as you run towards the next batch of Poes. Don't use the special attack too sparingly.
Dude. It never even occurred to me to use the 'immediate sprint after dodge' mechanic since I was never actually dodging any attacks in that particular map. That would probably be extremely helpful. Thank you.
