It's crazy seeing reviews all the way from 100 down to 40. I mean is it really that different that it's all over the board. It's a game, you enjoyed it or you didn't. Don't compare it to Zelda. Just take it for what it is.

Just as i expected, the fraction of Zelda fans expecting to play something comparable to mainline Zelda game are dragging the score down. This game will end up being underrated.

DLC has been confirmed for a while and a new game mode is coming with the next patch.
Destiny provides an experience worst than it promised and it gets 7s. Hyrule Warriors provides an experience exactly how it promises 5s... just something for people to think about.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I cannot agree more even if I tried on Destiny. They said the story in the game (the weakest element by far) would stand next to Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

The amount of people who are moaning about it not being a real Zelda game..... duh. Even NL spent most of it's review apologizing to Zelda fans, warning them it's not a real Zelda game. Please, how stupid to they think people are? Very, it seems.
As for me, it came today, played through the first level, loved it. How much of that is because I'm brand new to the DW franchise, I dunno. But I love anything about it.

Yes, the NL review was very strange, mostly going on about not being a Zelda game. With all the press coverage about Hyrule Warriors the past months, I thought that was obvious. Looking forward to getting it on friday.
Didnt manage to get the limited edition (due to it was too expensive) but I got to preorder the normal edition for around 90$ US. (Yay high prices in Norway)
So many of the negatives from these reviews is "Not enough like a zelda game" when it was said from the very beginning it wouldn't be? Wow. I really hope it still sells well so Nintendo doesn't think people hate them giving their IP's away. Chances are if this fails like Other M, we won't see them being so liberal with their IP's for quite a while
Thankfully I've limited the gaming sites I go to, and tbh, of those sites, Nintendolife was actually the harshest. That's a good sign I think?!
I was gonna get this game soon-ish no matter what unless it was actively bad, so reviews mean nothing to me in this case. I own every Zelda other than the 2 I sold, I'm not gonna stop just because it was a risky crossover idea.
I just listened to a video from Polygon with the reviewer (who gave it 5.5 our of 10) and most of the video was talking about how much they enjoyed the game. The only bad part they talked about was the story. Bad Story = 5.5 at Polygon I guess, I use to like their reviews but I can't take this one seriously. (I didn't read the review just saw the score but this video made it sound like a 7 or 8)

Yes, excellent review, thanks! The Adventure Mode was demoed on the recent Treehouse streaming, but I think this review made a better job explaining it.
