Topic: Your latest retro purchase

@Hapless The Gamecube was such an awesome console. So many great games and the third party line up was so good. I often found Gamecube versions of multiplat games the best versions. Ges like Soul Calibur II just seem to run better on Gamecube then the PS2 or Xbox version. Then you had games like the WWE Day of Reckoning games were way better then Sony's Smackdown series and Xbox's Raw series.

Gamecube also felt and looked like a gaming console. From its cube design with its handle on the back totally the awesome.colors like Spice Orange, Platinum and even the Purple color back when consoles weren't afraid to look like soulless gaming computers and only offered white or black consoles.

Then of course the lack of online connectivity made it feel even more like a Gaming console and not a PC. It just felt like the last "video game" console before the all started to feel more like low end PCs. I am sure @Neonpizza will agree here. Out of the more modern consoles Gamecube is the one that I wouldn't mind going back and collecting if I still collected.
